How do you think it drove stock when compared to previous models, 07+? I had an 06sti which took really good care of me for a hard 45k, stock block, (GT3076) and all (got out of the game for financial reasons but on my way back). From previous knowledge, the 07 and above stock sti's were blowing up. This was due to the extremely lean stock tunes. Looking at your graph, this stock tune is extremely rich. Damn near hitting the low 10's. 1. What do you think about this? 2.How is the driveability and responsiveness with this rich tune? 3.what are your predictions if someone was to drive this new model aggressively stock for thousands of miles??

From looking at all those pictures at the track the team decided enough is enough. Time to install some goodies!

Here are some teaser pictures of what we are working on today. As you can see Sharif, and crew have a whole lot of work to do! I think we are going to need another table for all of our stuff. haha

Stay tuned for more updates and feedback soon!

Here are a few shots I thought you guys may like of some of the work being performed yesterday. As you can see Alex is hard at work. My favorite is turbo comparison from Stock vs 950R

Stay tuned for more updates soon!

I am kind of waiting to see how you guys do with this beast before I jump on a bigger turbo. Undecided what to get but Im loving your build and may want to go in a similar direction in a year or so.

You have any videos of the dyno tuning on Stg 1 and will you be putting videos together for the steps in this project? I look at this thread at least 5 times a day wanting to see what this car is going to do!

This will be a great build to follow... subscribed! Thanks for the great work and customer service you all provided me with last month. My car is running great on the tune and I look forward to working with you all some more in the near future!

Stock internals to 20psi pump and 25psi E85. While we play around at that level, we'll be assembling a very unique stroker shortblock and big valve cylinder head. I think you guys will like what we have planned. This way, when it comes time, we'll have minimal downtime. We should be able to go from stock, to stroked within a couple of days.

Notice that the stock tune is still very lean on tip in as trq is building up and all the way through the trq peak. This is dangerous! This is likely what contributes to many broken ring lands on otherwise stock cars. I can only assume this is done for emissions and mileage reasons and is a terrible decision on the part of Subaru. The OEM tune had horrible power, response, and driveability. Our Stage1 (for bone stock cars) custom mapping is completely a night and day experience. Not only is there massive trq and power improvement everywhere, but the tip in and part throttle AF ratios are much safer than the OEM tune. If you drove the car, you'd also find the throttle response is vastly improved. Gone is the non-linear lazy OEM throttle response as I completely remapped all of the throttle tables.

Great information and work! Can't wait to continue to follow this build up!

Man, why can't someone do a basic tune like this for the NA 2.5i cars? I know some of it is just the motor, but the stock tuning, throttle response, etc on the 2.5i is annoying at times! I am sure there is more in there somewhere just from tuning in regards to overall better driveability, not just power.

Keep up the good work guys!

Alright got a few more progress pictures for you today. Turbo is positioned nicely and the front mount intercooler core has been secured. Alex is working away steadily hopefully tomorrow we will be able to start her up.

Ok, We are back from our vacation and back to work. We are getting very close. Here are a couple of pictures of how she is sitting and the fuel mods we are running now from Deatschwerks. We are very excited to see how well the 1300cc injectors work with their new Deatschwerks 300lph fuel pump.

More updates to come shortly!

Best regards,

Tray

We are are making a custom pipe from the IC piping to the turbocharger, since the Perrin turbo is designed for a stock location turbo. Also modifying the charge pipe with MAF bung and BOV. Hang tight guys...I am dying to fire up this bad boy today!
