Default just moved back to vancouver...need somewhere to keep a project car

well maybe a little intro first:

my names jeff, I grew up in langley but i've been living in arkansas for the last 5 years while going to school.

I drive an 02 RS with a ej255/251 hybrid with a td04(vf22 is coming very soon). The car is still pretty rough around the edges as i did all the work myself, and to be honest going into the project i had no idea what i was doing. But it made the 40 hour drive home without any major problems so i'm happy with it. Currently i'm working on ironing out all the kinks.

i'm excited to be out of arkansas and back in civilization, and happy to see some subarus on the streets instead of giant trucks. Well except for the dude with the sti who flipped me off when i waved at him yesterday. If that was you well right back at you a**hole. lol

but anyway, due to the ridiculous real-estate prices here(when did that happen?) I'll be living with the parents for a couple years. I'm making good money finally and since im living with the rents till the real-estate market crashes I have some money to blow and want to start a project GC. Only problem is i have nowhere to put it (garage is taken by my dads 04 wrx and 08 shelby GT, driveway by my car and my mothers car), so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas? Does anyone know of any places around the langley area that rent garage space?

thanks
-Jeff

yeah....about time eh?

just for the record i paid 175$ a month for my 1100 sq. foot 2br 2 bath apartment in arkansas....

175$/month isn't enough to live in a van down by the river here!

oh i brought that block back.....so if you need that crank still let me know....

well to clear things up a little i dont just need somewhere i can store the car....i need somewhere i can work on it...(cage it, drivetrain swap it basicly stripping it down to metal and glass and then building it from the ground up)....

and as i'll be doing all the work myself and will be doing it as the money comes in it'll probably need to be somewhere for about a year.....as i'll probably have to keep going back and fixing stuff i did wrong lol...

All I can say about front plates,

I owned a 91 talon from 1991-2005 and NEVER had a front plate on ever.
I never had any trouble at all, with over 275,000km driving around the lower mainland. Technically it is illegal though

i have had no problem having no plate for a long time, a couple times it gets mentioned, but i didnt get ticketed.

ive heard some loud cars and they dont get nabbed, but depending on the area your in, like richmond, the louder, the more likely...

so do you want to be my friend, since you have done a swap on a rs, and im about to do one?

No plates and loud exhaust is a hassle factor. The potential ranges from nothing at all for the rest of your life, to havin a dick cop tow you on the spot for a V.I. The extreme rarely happens though. It used to be a common ocurringly problem a few years ago, but I've heard less and less horror stories over the years since; even from Richmond.

Nothing wrong with respecting the pre-existing buildings, culture and environment when building a new one though!
