Nothing crazy. easy actually. clean the car. tape off windows and wheels. And Spray. i didn't worry about inside of doors its so thin it rubs off. The dip sticks good so you dont have to cut and wrap it

Don't have a picture but the blaze colors have a tendency to fade and also may stain whatever your dipping.

How much brighter is blaze yellow vs daytona yellow? I have used blaze yellow, but never seen daytona yellow.

Same here, the cobolt blue is a normal blue same as the "light blue" that comes in gallon format. The blaze blue is lighter and brighter. |

Thanks for letting me know. I think I'll be doing my es7s Daytona Yellow. I have about 3/4 of a can of Blaze Yellow, but I'll save it to try & redo my helmet. Right my helmet is Blaze Blue with Blaze Yellow vents.

Analogy
Using Plasti dip as an adult is just like playing with sharpies as a kid. Once
you start you keep wanting to do more. Idk.. maybe I'm the only one |

I'm pretty sure the vintage gold is meant to be put on by itself. Doesn't need a base coat.

Yea I know, but I saw the video where Fonzie introduces the vintage gold without the black base coat to the one with the black base coat and they seem to have a different shades. That's why I was wondering if he put a base coat.

glossifier is a tricky sob, it is very wet and watery compared to normal dip and has to applied differently too. As it is so thin, the coats should very light and not too close to avoid running. build up a few coats like this and it should be clear and shiny.

as for vintage gold and the other new "full coverage" colors coming on the scene, although not necessary I always recommend using to customers to use a base coat, either black or gun metal grey. This is purely as a cost saving thing, you can replace one expensive true metallics can with a regular priced can, do all your light build up coats, then put the finish color on top.
The theory says that the base coat should have zero effect on the top coat as the coverage is so good, but I have seen light versions and darker versions of vintage gold, I believe this is partially due to the base coat, and partially due to the number of layers of the vintage gold applied. |
