Default Foglight install on Base WRX

Hey guys just wanted to drop in and say for anyone that has a base mode wrx without foglights. If you are wanting some definitely buy this set from eBay! Subispeed has the same set for $90. Got the same set on eBay for $65. Same exact product from Winjet. Install was straightforward and easy watching the subispeed video. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Did you have to modify either the switch or switch-bezel?

Nope, it came with two switches actually so I used the smaller one as it fit. I had to just remove the panel and take out the existing fake cap next to the interior din lights. Super easy to do. Hardest part was feeding the wire through the firewall and finding it in the rats nest of wires under the dash

I feel like since I'm on mobile for the first time, I'm just missing it. But did you link the product?

Nice! I'm looking for just the switch and harness that would work in a 2017 model since it's smaller than the 2015

I'm on mobile so can't search it up, but if you look at the threads I created there's one about fogs and all the part numbers you need to do it (2017 included)

The harness is the same for all years. The only difference is the switch. I'll post pictures of both tomorrow.

I've seen a few, and I do have the foglights installed, but as a button on the bezel, not on the stalk. Looking for a source that sells the compatible foglight switch the OP has just by itself with the wiring harness. Thanks though!

Same here. I have read the other switches do not leave room for the dimmer or were too large. This one seems to be a good fit though!

Ah - got it. Keep us posted, i'm looking for that button alone as well for a 2017 to run some accessories on.

Nice find! I've been back and forth about which fog light kit to go with but I wouldn't mind trying these for $67 shipped..

Are you able to operate the fogs independently from the Low beams?

I found this kit from a seller on Amazon (Have an Amazon gift card), but I have been hesitating because of the switch. I may have to just order it and see if I get lucky.

It's completely worth it for the cheap price. You can run the fog lights whenever you want because of the switch.

I say just order it. When I ordered mine I wasn't even thinking about the switch haha but it came with two. The only other thing you'll need to buy that I didn't mention is the add a fuse ($7 from autozone) that plugs into the fuze box behind the switch.

Yeah I'm gonna order the eBay JDM bezels. They're the same as Subispeed but $50 cheaper. Idk where to add the power for the bezel tho. I may just connect them to my DRL harness so they are always on even tho I would like to have a switch.

I gave in and ordered it. Worst case scenario, if the switch is wrong, I will just wire the relay to activate with the parking lights.

If you don't get two switches, and you need the larger one I can send you mine as I don't need it since I have a 2017 and used the smaller one. Let me know!

I ordered a Winjet fog light kit from a seller on Amazon and the first set they sent me had a damaged bezel. They sent me a second kit and have never sent a return label for the first one even after I requested one from them. I would be willing to part out the harness, lights and switches. It comes with a switch for the 2015 and a switch for the 2016/2017. The lights have yellow glass. Everything is brand new and unused. PM if you are interested.

It was actually a very easy install. The hardest part was finding the power line once it was through the firewall because of the rats nest of wires under the dash.
