Is Samb the guy who used to work at Aston? That car looks like an Aston ALOT.
Aston or no Aston, I like it. Wonder how many young "gentlemen" will have that car when it is first released. Wont ever own a mustang, but I like the look of that a lot. |

They really need to trim the weight by a lot. 3500lbs is quite heavy for a sports coupe. Isn't that about what a v12 awd Lamborghini weighs?

Retro Mustang has had it's day. Time to get modern, I say throw out all the old Mustang looks and give me an affordable AM Vantage or BMW M3.
I know they won't do that but there needs to be a sleek, fairly light V8 performance car that people can actually buy. Not bricks from the 60's even if they do look good in their own way. |

Not digging the look, especially from the back. I want to get a fun car at some point and the Mustang and Camaro are really the only two I'd consider. Looks like I'd better get one sooner rather than later because if one moves from the retro-modern style they all will.

It's just a silly render you guys, it may look nothing like this.

I like it a lot but there are going to be some royally pissed off rednecks. I don't really see this selling well in the US.

Not that any of these opinions matter since it's going to probably still look like the retro car. |

Sure, you may piss off some of your fanbase "because of looks", but if it 'performs' as well as, if not better, than previous versions... they will sell.
Think about the Corvette from the C3 to C4 to the C5. LOTS of changes on those designs. Everyone said they'd hate it... yet sold more with each iteration. --kC |

Good looks are good looks, the Mustang faithful will get over any "heritage" issues pretty quickly I'm sure. If this rendering is even remotely related to the actual car it'll sell like hotcakes.

"Heritage" issues are a modern thing. There were several generations of Mustangs that didn't look like anything old. There's no reason for them to stick with the retro look when the fad is fading quickly.
I have no problem with the Aston Martin looks they are going with lately (for example, Ford Fusion). Ford has already said the next Mustang is going to be smaller, lighter and will not be as retro so that it can be better marketed as a "world car". It's also been said that all future Ford cars will borrow heavily from the Evos concept. This rendering just puts two and two together. I nearly pulled the trigger on a 2012 Mustang GT and I'd still consider one, but I tell you, if the 2015 Mustang looks anything like the above, I will be getting one. |

Interesting speculation that they will replace the V6 with a turbo 4. The V6 seems to be an excellent motor based on the reviews, in both performance and fuel economy.
