This kid at my work said my 2006 impreza looks like a mothers car then drove away in his Suzuki swift ((which wasn't even the 'sport' version, not that it matters))

This isn't something that was said about my subie when I had it but I found my car on craigslist listed as a Subaru WRX but when I went to meet the previous owner the for sale sign he had in the window said Mazda WRX

I don't mind it if they have something that isn't messy/greasy and we're on a long drive, but when we're 5 minutes away from the house and you order a ****ing plate lunch and try to eat it while I'm driving is down right stupid. My brother tries to do it every time he gets a Hawaiian plate.

I don't see the problem with eating food in a car. Smoking is one thing, it can burn the seats, leave a smell. But food? Seriously? What bad can happen? OMG the next time you take it to a car wash they might find a crumb and you lose 5 bro points :/

I can't stand it when people try to eat in my car either. It's my place, don't eat there. IMHO, That's no different that going to someone's house and trying to eat in their bedroom or something.

So you must be one of those kids sponsored by daddy to not give a ****....?

Btw who brings their car to the car wash? Hand wash at home is best.

Speaking of car washes, in this county the residential drains go to the public water supply so it's not allowed to pour anything down there (Including soapy water).

So I got back from a rallycross and the car was filthy! I took it to a car wash and paid $5 for the cheapest one just to rinse it off. There is a guy with a brush before you enter the automatic wash part and he goes about scrubbing the front and doors. Then he gets to the rear, where's there's seriously 1/4 inch of caked on dirt, and goes "holy $hit! We're gonna have to charge you extra for all that..." Right then the wheel grabber started pulling my car in and he just knocked it off shaking his head, LOL.
Car looks back to normal now

I can't imagine how scratched you car must be, for it to be "back to normal" after rubbing dirt on it with a Carwash brush!
And he wanted you to pay extra for it!?

I use ONR, so when I wash my car I use MAYBE a gallon of water at most, and barely anything drips off the car. I wipe clean and then dry, and I use a separate bucket for the dirty water that I just dump down the drain in my garage, which feeds into the home drainage and not the run off drains. So it's no different than if I dumped it down the toilet.

Oh man I wanted to deck him. I usually get out and fill my own car because I don't trust them but today I was off my game, woke up late, sat it traffic and I just didn't have a clear head. I got out and saw the red light on under 87 and was like WTF are you doing! No I gotta see if I can get some octane booster after work somewhere but I don't know where any stores like that are around here. I'll have to try to keep it out of boost until I can burn off this tank. And I'll replace my fuel filter this weekend.

Only good thing is it was a little more than half a tank that was put in and I was able to squeeze an extra 2 gallons of 93 in so I'm hoping it won't be too bad with that and a bottle of octane booster. But yeah sucks big time for me regardless. I just hope nothing gets damaged with my new built motor otherwise all sense of self control will go right out the window and I'll be going back but not for gas.

Thanks man. No I didn't do any high compression. I live in PA so its been really cool up there. I know people make mistakes, but if you can't understand "Fill it, 93, cash." you probably shouldn't be working with the public...i guess if forgot to press 1 for English lol.

I usually flip out when I walk out to my pump and I can only pump 87 cause the tard Inside didn't ask what grade since I can't pick at the pump now they all know me at every gas station and now even ask. 93 right? Back on topic.....lol im at the pump and I have a turbo timer so I walk out keys in hand there's a cop standing there watches me go to pay at pump with card. I take my gas cap off and wait for card to clear he runs up to me, starts yelling at me saying what im doing is against the law. I looked at him confused he said shut your car off I wave my keys in his face and boom car shuts down he almost **** himself when the car shut off alone. He asked why my car does that all I said was. Because RACE CAR lol I don't think he liked that to much

It was more like a wet mop thing they used. Sorry for giving you the wrong image about the 'brush'. No scratches.

The turbo timers usually crack me up the most when cops are standing there baffled like "how could this idiot leave his car running?!" lol. A few friends and I were walking into a restaurant while this guys 06 STI was on the longest timer ever for his turbo timer (5 minutes? felt like forever...). From the time we walked in the door 2 different waitresses and a hostess all told us we left our car running. It was a pretty loud stage 2 set up. vibrating the front door and all, kind of annoying to be honest.

5 mins on a turbo timer is just a waste of gas and more of a hey listen to my car. 30 seconds to a min is more than enough. Especially on a stage 2. I'm on a stage 4 tune and I don't even have a turbo timer lol. I just give it a min or so at idle before shutting the car off. But I can see how puzzled people look when you get out and lock it up and walk away with it still running

Turbo timers are useless on a stock turbo setup. You only need one if you went with a oil cooled turbo.

Aren't most stock turbos oil and water cooled and my mazda 1989 mx6 turbo has a sticker on it that says to atleast let it idle for 30 seconds its on the sun visor lol. When I ran my stock turbo for brake in on the motor I would just idle it I mean we spend so much on parts and gas whats an extra 30 seconds of idle. But that's just my. 02

I think cheese13 meant oil cooled only. I have a stock vf37 but its not that big of a deal to let it idle a few seconds before shutting it off. If I was only cruising and not hitting boost I will just shut it down.
