Went to Chipotle.

Guy behind the counter: *Loudly* "Whoa, sweet Supra!"
Me: Huh?
Guy: *quietly* Uh, your car... I like it.
Me: Oh, thanks.

If you've been in one of those TL's you know it doesn't feel like 305 hp.. Anyhow, that's my story. I found it amusing at the time.
What year was his TL???

I can say for sure that my 2008 (non-S, 5AT) feels like it's making all 258 hp it advertises, if not more. If he's modded his 3rd-gen to 300+, he should be downright quick - maybe not quick enough to beat an STI, but definitely quick enough to give one a hard time. Then again, I can't see any reason to throw any more power at a TL; that much power + FWD = less fun than stock haha.

Just bought some new coilovers, so I thought I'd post a picture on Facebook. The responses I got ranged from "Is that a dildo" to "Are those light sabers?" These people were completely serious.

I just got my first Subaru (2005 STi) Monday of this week, and I already have people asking me why there's a radiator on top.

2012 WRX hatch. I live in Oregon so we unfortunately have to have our gas pumped for us…

I have this small sticker on the driver side back triangular window on my car (only sticker I have): http://blipshift.com/products/world-is-flat-decal

Gas station attendant comes up to get my credit card, sees the sticker, stares for about 10 seconds and then blurts out "I don't get it."

I try to explain in brief, simple terms how my car has a flat engine configuration. I quickly explain the differences between a flat, V and inline engine configuration. His very next response was "So, does it have a V6?" Seriously?!?! After I just explained how it was NOT anything like a V engine? I said "No, it's a flat 4 cylinder" He replies "Four cylinder huh? It must get good gas mileage then!" I replied "Well, actually it doesn't."

While the gas is going in I pop the hood to check my oil level. He keeps talking to me, commenting on how my engine is clean and throws out a "Where's the throttle body on this thing? It looks hard to work on! I have a Saturn and everything is laid out right on top." And then follows with "So it's not a V6 in there?"

Friggin' amazing...

Had someone today who was completely convinced (by himself) that there was no way my car had OEM HIDs. Kept insisting they were illegal too, even after a buddy of mine chimed in that they are OEM and are 100% legal.

Thankfully I have never had anyone say something stupid about my Subaru, however all these posts about kids makes me remember a time driving my 87 Supra through town and letting a mom and her 7-8 year old son cross the street. As they did I heard the kid say to his mother "that's an rx7!!!" I give him credit, they do look similar, unfortunately I did not let him get away with it, and replied a with firm "No it isn't" and drove off. Hope I didn't impede on his car dreams.

If only fuel could fix our cars, every Subaru would run amazing!

Indeed, but I am getting tired of explaining strut clunk to passengers. I think I'm going to try the FEAL revalve this year.
