Default Hub centric Ring needed for Volks CE28N?

Just wondering if it's necessary to get hub centric rings for Volks CE28N?

I have a set of these rims on my car right now, it didn't come with the hub centric rings.

I was reading some forum it says that some wheel without Hubcentric rings could produce vibration.

you should get them if the center bore isnt sized for your hub...which it most likely isn't. the other thing it helps with is to not scratch the wheels when you put them on. the hub ring will hold the wheel in the right spot so you can put on your lug nuts easier. the rings are so cheap, you can't not get them.

you'll need a 73mm-56.1mm hub ring. Most places sell them for 5-10 bucks... one of the best things you can do to insure a quality ride.

^^ Any idea what's the exact size for 06 STI Hub?

The rim is CE28N 18x8.5.

I have the rings on my rims (they come with the rims new) but i'm not 100% sure of the exact size the rings are, I once measured the rings and it wasn't 73 thats for sure, it was more like 60 something and it wasn't a very common size.

subaru is 56.1 for all cars.

Mine are 65x56.1 these could possibly vary by wheel size- I'd call Mackin to be sure. I do know that it's not a really common size and are somewhat hard to source- Mackin may be able to source them as well.

sorry to chime back in so late but, Volks run two center bores, a 73mm center bore and for those who run the bolt pattern of (x)x100, the center bore is 65mm.

Where can those(65x56.1) be ordered? My set of CE28N's that I just got didn't come with the rings. Mackin said they don't sell/carry the rings when I called and they were unable to direct me to anywhere that does...

first check the bire of the wheel- Volk uses a couple of different sizes- one is in the 70ish something range

Here they have a long list, but not 65mm, but they do have 66mm- I've measured mine several times and come out w/ 65mm, but the 66mm may work fine

Does this mean that my 17x7.5 Volk LE37k's have a 73mm bore as well? If so then that means I need 56.1mm by 73mm hub rings for my 2002 WRX, correct?

Please Help!

-Glen

Where'd you obtain this information? I have been searching forever, both on google and on the NASIOC boards, but to no avail.

Call Vic at Discount Tire in El Monte, Ca. He has enough hub rings for everyone on Nasioc, in both metal and plastic. He also drives a WRX with a zerosports bodykit. Sorry don't have phone #. That's where I get mine from.

You can also call Francis at A-Spec also in El Monte. They stock some from Mackin, but charge for a set, I beleive it's $50, but don't quote me. He had sti powered GC 4door so he is also familiar with what you need.

By the way, there have been threads saying hub rings are useless. you will get severe wheel wobble if you rely in centering the wheel on the studs.

hope this helps

Hey guys. I've been trying to get a hold of some hub rings for my 18x7.5 GT-P's. I can't take my rim off right now because I sliced my hand up pretty bad so I tried measuring as best as I could and I got about 62mm +/- 1 or 2 mm.

I found these

What do you guys think?

often the bore is stamped into the wheel or on a decal inside the wheel, I'd look and see if you can find it

Okay so apparently I need 65mmx56.1mm hubrings. Is there any manufacturer that has this size in stock, because I have searched and searched the web and have found none. Someone mentioned that Vic at Discount Tire in El Monte might be able to fabricate some for me, but does anyone know of any sites that carry the 65x56mm size?

Thanks!

-Glen
