Default Anyone want an 06 STi???

I have an 06 STi, and it is in shambles. It is sitting in the Perry Subaru body shops parking lot and hasnt moved in about three months. I cant afford the payments, because i bought a new 06 wrx and the dealership didnt help with a trade on the STi. Long story short, let me know, i am trying to find anyone interested in buying, salvaging, whatever i can do to get rid of this car...

There is front support beam, and side beam damage. Radiator and fan damage, and some bumber damage. Some minor dents here and there, but the car's suspension, engine, tranny, interior and brake system are in tip-top... Let me know.

This'll probably get moved to the private FS forum... if I were you, I'd do a part out and get some of your money back.

Sorry to hear about this dude...

I don't understand. You had an STI, it had repairable damage, and instead of fixing it you bought a WRX prior to selling it?

Just doesn't make sense to me is all. Good luck though!!

The accident doesn't have anything to do with your SN, does it?

What happened, i was making a U-turn and i hit some gravel, my foot slipped off the clutch and the car took off. I tried to compensate, and over-compensated, and basically the car pulled itself into a ditch. I was going about 10mph. If i part it out, i will still owe mad cash, and to those who know me, i already have a new 06 WRX. They were telling me that it was going to sit at the bodyshop for 6 months, and when my insurance ran out for a rental, i had to do something. I went and talked to Perry about it, and they said that they would help. But they wanted to wait till the car was fixed. If i would have waited i would have stayed with the STi, but i didnt have anything else to drive. So , when i told them that i needed a car now, and would they be willing to help me out, they said yes. They helped me, with nothing, and i still owe on the STi. But i bought the WRX from them cash... so i dont owe anything on that. This car has to go, i cant afford the payments, i am willing to give it up for cheap. I am talking about $15k. Thats for the car as is. The car as everyone knows is $34k new, it has 12k on it, and like i said, it has nothing wrong with it functionally, just the body. Please let me know if anyone is interested. If i cant sell it, i have to repo the car, and whatever it sells for at an auction, i owe the differnece. I need atleast $15k for it so i can cut even.
Thanks,

~M~

Ok here's what I don't quite understand. You were paying on the STI before the wreck. Then you paid CASH for a WRX so you don't owe anything there. Yet somehow you can't afford the payments on the STI that you could afford before the wreck. What happened after the wreck that you can't afford one car payment.

Also, what was the repair estimate and why would it take months to repair? You pay your deductable and they fix it end of story. Even if it's your fault, that's what insurance is for?! Did you let your insurance lapse while it sat? If so you're close to getting repo'd anyway. All finace companies require a certain amount of coverage so long as they still hold the lien.

I'm not trying to be a jerk here I just need some clarification before I even consider throwing my hat into the ring.

the repair is $8300 in parts then the dealership wanted to charge $7500 in labor... When i had the sti, i was fine, and i did a home equity line on the house to payoff my second mortgage. When i wrecked, i had to get a car. So i choose to buy the wrx because the insuarnce company said they would pay the car off. Well, they didnt total it, and i ended up paying for the car, have the sti payment and now i still have both morgages and the money for the car is spent. So now, i am paying alot more for something that i dont use, and dont have the money to back the payments up with.
The car is WRB. the full lein is about $30k... the insurance gave me the money for the fix, but if i fix it then no one is going to pay what i owe for the car. If i take the check from the insurance for the fix, and someone pays me for the car then i will be able to payoff what i owe, someone gets an STi for $15k and i am clean. Perry subaru is in Virginia Beach, VA. I will send pics to those who requested. Thanks,

~M~

It'd be tempting but paying 15k for the car and another 10-15k for the fix just doesn't make it worth it. I'm really sorry this happened to ya. In hindsight might have been better to take a couple thousand of the home equity line and bought a beater you could resell while the insurance money was fixing the STI.

Again, sorry for your loss, she sure looks sad (I almost cried... not really, but still sad).

I wouldnt mind doing a part out... its just that if i dont part out enough, i am going to have an STi, that is in pieces, literally, and i will still keep owing on the car... i know that there are some people out there that i have talked to, mostly big name shops that are interested. They want it for like their personal race car, or the parts off of it for that reason. But in anycase, i have to get rid of the "payments" so the car to me isnt the problem, its those $560 payments that i have to keep putting down. Well, anyway, like i said if anyone knows anyone, at all, interested in buying the car, i would be willing to negotiate a price... Thanks,

~M~
