Default So you want to go to WRC 06 Mexico

If you want to stay at the same hotel as Petter call 1.877.CAESAR2 or http://www.fiestamericana.com/. They have 50% of the place still open for reservations. You can find much cheaper places to stay as this is a Five Star hotel.

Real Azteca Hotel (not bad stayed there the 1st year, 1 star) 011-477-763-23-36(I think that is right)

Holiday Inn (5 star)
Howard Johnson (the one near the Poliforum is 5 star the one a little ways a way is 4 star).
If you need numbers to more I have a whole list.

If you want to drive down or get into the country reads this web page. http://www.sanbachs.net/cgi-bin/mexico/mexicoga.cgi
and this one.
http://mexico.usembassy.gov/mexico/faqs.html

One thing both web sites left out is if you are still making payments you must get a letter from the bank allowing you to take the car to Mexico
I also stress again GET CAR INSURANCE FOR MEXICO, you car insurance is no good in Mexico and I have a friend that learned the hard way(some jail time until the money for the damage to the car was sent to him).

Also use the toll roads if you can the free roads are very bad and will add many hours to the drive. And, although there are some cops out on the toll roads you can do 100 mph easely, there is very little traffic.

If flying get your rental now, and get the insurance. You will most likely get some damage going to all the stages and acting like the rally drive everyone does when they get on the roads that are often the stages at some point.

Also get Mexico coverage on your cell phone, usually about $2-4 a month and then take if off when you get home.

We will be leaving Houston about 2:30 am on March 1 (jacked up on Red Bull) and get there about 4:30-5:00 pm.

Leave there March 6 about 7:30-8:00 am and get back home about 11-12 pm.

If you have questions feel free to PM me.

They really need to make Rally Mexico coincide with my spring break (March 13).
