here's something interesting to talk smack about. What type of transmission, front and rear diff is in your car?

Find the build code on your trans, look past the turbo and you see a white label with black letters. Write that down. Then go to this link and then to post 1 and there is Rallispec's list of usdm/jdm/prodrive trans for wrx/sti/legacy/forester/etc for the past 20 years.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2173258

I have a jdm MY 2005, 35:65 open power split, r-180 plated rear diff and helical front (the good stuff) and dccd.

bass pro was interesting. food was reasonably priced. farmboss puts ketchup on his brocoli. we looked at a 6 cyl in-line supercharged 300 hp outboard - $20k without the prop. and a 1000cc, awd 90 hp buggy think it was $15k? had reservored inverted coilovers.

just back from our balimer outback odyssey. no more cold air from a/c. pump stays on. bought the dye and looked around for a leak and couldn't find. guess it's time to take to a real a/c mechanic.

I thought Kris was going to pick where we met at this thursday.

My passenger side valve cover is starting to leak for some reason. Smoke will come out of the hood at stop lights some times, im just waiting on a good day to fix it.

I finally pulled the trigger on getting my struts rebuilt/revalved by Feal. I can't freakin wait. It'll be nice to have the car riding nice again.

One of my front struts is completely blown. The car rides like a slammed Honda and every bump makes a loud CLANG noise. Brutal.

You can bring it to my house to do it if you want. iag has the billet half moon gasket that I've been trying to find but can't. Apparantly they're more resistant to heat, and those half moons sure do get alot of heat from that up pipe.

I was going to buy them when I was there last, but my bill was already like $500 so I didn't. Just call them.

When are you going to do it? I need to order too

I jacked my car up to look under there and make sure it was the valve cover that was leaking on the up pipe and nothing else. Its not the valve cover, its the oil feed line to the turbo, it must have cracked some where.

I spent the last 30 min taking some things off the car to get ready and take the turbo off tomorrow because I want to get this fixed asap. I tried to loosen a couple of the exhaust bolts on the DP and I couldn't. My dumbass decided to use locking nuts on the Turbo to DP studs so they wouldn't back off. Well after awhile the nylon in those nuts started to melt and it stunk real bad and most likely permantly glued it self to the stud. I soaked them in PB blaster to soak over night but I don't know if I'll be able to get them or not. If anything I will probably pull the whole stud out which is fine since new ones are only 15 bucks. And theirs really not enough room to get air tools in there.

But the turbo must come off to fix this problem...this sucks...I don't want to have to take it to a shop.
