Ha, woke up this morning to a chill and thought about how I wished it 'twas the season. Started heating up the iron to wax, couldn't find the wax and sat at the computer, NASIOC shows me that Im not alone. Worked at a little resort the last 2 years and loved it. Last year was slow providing me with plenty of powder runs.

you should buy into the hype!i've had mine for 3 seasons and not any build issue at all. the unions have never let me down

^^Until they pass my personal QC meter, I'll pass. They all feel cheap and wonky, IMO. Plus none offer footbed canting. I'll stick with my Rides, they've never let me down over the past 4 seasons.

I cant wait for this season to start! Just got myself a roof rack w/ snowboard attachment, new helmet and new gloves. I'd love a new board and the new flow bindings, but since i bought my stuff last season i cant justify it, unless i convince myself i need a powder board lol.

I'm not actually sure how I feel about the footbed canting. I have Rome Targas with the canting on my Nitro Gullwing. I tried them on my Capita Ultrafear (flatbase from binding to binding) and they were terrible. Do they have to be on a reverse camber board or something?

Anyone check out the Live2Ride boards? another local snowboard company just starting out. They're in their 2nd year of production and this year's boards look pretty good. the 157 caught my eye. Its a lot like my 154 Ultrafear, but bigger. Flat in the middle, rocker outside of the bindings. Part of me wants to consolidate my gullwing and ultrafear into one board. I'm just not sure how a twin board would handle the 4-7" days where my gullwing earns its keep. Anything more than that and I reach for the pow board. One interesting piece of tech on the board is the topsheet. apparently the way its designed prevents snow from sticking to it. Nothing to really add to the performance IMO, but interesting nonetheless.

^^Hey Joel, what degree of canting do you use? I don't use much, either between 1.5-2.5 degrees. Not much, but enough to take some pressure off my knees. I've ridden them on camber decks, flat deck, rocker decks, and rocker/camber decks and never had a problem.

I think 2 degrees maybe? Ill have to look. I was actually thinking about adjusting the binding for use on my capita. Right now it's on my Nitto and its working fine there. I really should just leave them there. They've been working fine and my bindings on my capita have been fine too.

Anyone go see the Absinthe film or Further last week? Both were awesome. Pretty cool standing in the bar at Further right next to the one and only Jeremy Jones. Burton premier tonight, but I don't think I'm going.

Anyone getting any new gear this year? I got my Spark split bindings already, and just grabbed a Ride Berzerker 161 from last year. Been researching airbag packs too, we'll see if I go through with it.

Also, who's down to take an avy course in December?

A few pics to up the stoke! These are from last year and I had been meaning to post them. I took these with my friends p&s and he edited them. I think they are some of the best boarding shots I've taken. I especially love the last one. Everyone is watching Dylan get it.

Hey do you post over on snowboardingforum.com? I'm ready for a new season to start. Let's hope this dry weather doesn't hold once the temps start dropping.

DrnknZag- What kind of split do you have? Just split my own last year and got some Spark R&D splitboard bindings to throw on it. Really recommend the bindings.

Yeah I split one of my boards last year too, my Ride Slackcountry. Got Sparks for it too, can't wait to try them out.
