V2 STI Map Questions! Grrr
Hey all. Researched and still can't find the answer. I'm installing. Turbosmart fuel cut defender 2 tomoro. Its allows me to clamp the map voltage at boost cut and set a new Max voltage target. The instructions state to clamp the voltage just before boost cut (which is 14.5 psi if I'm not mistaken on my v2 sti). I am wondering what corresponding voltage that is?
Any help would be great!

I don't have personal experience, but from searching these forums I've seen talk of those devices being either not necessary or hurtful for our cars.

If you can use an AccessPort or OpenPort to retune your ECU, that would be a FAR better way to turn up the boost. There's just no point in the FCD if you can tweak the ECU instead.
What ECU are you running? |

Right now i have the psi at 15, just shy of the 15.56 fuel cut of the 6k ecu.

Upon further inspection- cobb does not service 6k ECU after viewing the info on thier site. Only 2004+ ECU. What are my options?

Bummer. I was guessing that your "R-STi" might have a recent STi ECU swapped into it.
I have no idea what the tuning options are for your ECU. I've never even heard of "6k ECU" actually. Hopefully someone else can help you out... |

Its an obd1 jecs unit
ESL is your only option. and for the love of god stop trying to put ****ty piggybacks that bandaid your issue. You need a real tune, not a junky signal interceptor. |

Haha i have learnt my lesson. My ECU is getting ready to go to ROB for his 440 tune! Will remove boost cut, speed limiter, add launch control and so on.
Woot! |
