Default general interior detailing question

i've managed to scratch up the plexi-glass in front of the instrument cluster. I've since gotten some "blue magic" plexi-glass and plastic scratch remover and some 100% cotton towels. Using that didn't really work as well as i though, plus it got lint everywhere.

I'm guessing...wash the towels to get rid of the lint, and just keep going over it until the scratches go away.

Besides this, any general detailing tips for keeping your scooby looking new?

Can't help with the scratch.

I have been recomended the following "cleaning tips"

Vinylex for the vinyl.
Wipe (don't spray) silicone on the window/door rubber occasionally to keep it supple.
RainX on the outside glass.

Wax every 6 months (wait for 3 mths after new to let the paint cure - not sure about this - BMW owner)
Wax your wheel wells if you have to deal with snow (stops it from sticking) I assume spray wax.

dust, vacuum, wash
