Default The Tri-State Bad Drivers Thread

This thread is not for people who can't drive their own subaru, and if that IS you gtfo. It's primary use is to bitch about how terrible EVERYONE else on the road is these days?

I feel like I've been attempted raced, cut off then brake, backed into while parked, trapped on a one way, door dinged, parked in, blocked in, not let in, passed on double yellow, tailgated, flashed/honked at, wrongfully towed, passed on merge and so much other general dumb sh** by more mini-vans these days that we need a thread to record this stuff.

Just when you think you've seen the dumbest **** ever, take another drive. This thread is intended to bitch/vent about all the bad drivers in the tri-state because there are LOTS.

Do it up, but keep your story short because you know we all hate reading.

I used to think jersey drivers were the worst, but now they're mostly just aggressive. The only move you have to watch for is the jersey swoop: (across 2 lanes on the highway w/no turn signal)

haha, i'm notorious for the swoop when i'm running late. atleast i do it at WOT and dont just go slowly into traffic

lately i've been over taken really fast and then the same douche slams on the breaks.

i personally love it when people are riding my ass when i'm going a decent speed, then go to over take me but dont do it fast enough, so i just drop it into 3rd and close the gap so they have to break HARD or rear end the car infront of them. that gets people real pissed, idk why?

agreed it's dog eat dog in the morning in the rush to get to work on time, but then you get 3 people going below the speed limit in all 3 lanes blocking you. I've started to lose interest about a godam minivan full of classy individuals racing around me to cut me off and brake... so much so even that I've stopped wasting the gas. Maybe I'm just getting old? Or maybe I'm just giving that dodge caravan his 15 seconds of fame...

Texting while driving is rampant in nj and probably other states as well. I'm always on the defensive for that.

Texting/Talking on the phone or the "oh ****, the left turn arrow has turned off! Eh, I can make it anyway" cutting me off as I attempt to go straight or make a right turn.

PA drivers...the left lane is for passing, NOT for sleeping or cruising at 35 in a 55 or 65

Love it when people ride close as you downshift. Had a guy today as I was coming to a red light riding pretty close, so I nicely tapped on my breaks really hard for a second. Wasn't like we were a mile from the light, it was not even a quarter of a mile. Needless to say he got pretty upset and scared real fast lol. Don't know where he was trying to go, oh well.

I was on garden state parkway and this fagboy driving a ford tried to cut into my lane while his car was only 2 feet ahead of mine. We were both going around 80 mph. I kindly braked and let him cut in front of me, I kindly cut to the other lane, then got back in front of him and yanked my e-brakes. He wasn't happy.

I hate it when I'm trying to get into the highway .. while on the one ramp .. you are trying to catch up to highway speed that everyone is going and that one car, that's already on the highway, speeds up not letting you in and you are running out of road before you hit the shoulder.

i lived in edison while going to rutgers and that area is driver's heaven compared to bergen county. the worst is in the more dense areas... i.e. fort lee, palisades park

I used to drive like an ass when I was in my late teens and early 20s. I had a WRX so it seemed like the cool thing to do and my parents paid for most of it.

Then I bought myself another car with my own money and I changed my driving completely. I keep huge following distances (can't read the license plate of the car in front), don't cut off people, don't go head-to-head with young kids, and don't block the people who try to fly past and cut me off anymore.

Once I started driving in ways to protect my property, the roads don't seem so bad.

like to add to this. i hate when people dont give you the right away as your merging onto the highway by not moving over a lane. i understand when there is commuter traffic its hard to move and i will be happy to slow down or speed up to merge, but when there is no one on the road and they still wont get outta the way, that pisses me off

i agree with you 100%. now that i bought a car and have monthly payments i always think twice about what i do. however the urge to be a 20 y/o douche in an sti does kick in seldom

one of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when you go out of your way to stop for a person to cross a street, or to let some one in and they don't even acknowledge your presence by giving you the little thanks. that makes me want to get out of my car and do unspeakable things to people.

i find that i'm always waving and even saying thank you out loud every time some one lets me in hell even big truckers, when you let them in put their hazards on to thank you for giving them room.

LMAO when I was in HS and took the bus to and from school it would be hilarious listening to those shuttle buses shout "el burro el burro" on there CBs to inform the other shutle bus drivers where the real buses were. But yea those shuttle buses are the worst. I have had several friends who got hit by them just to have them keep going.

BTW i still don't understand what "el burro" (the donkey) means.

^ lol back in the day spain/south and central americans used to use 'burros' as taxis... I'd assume it had something to do with that?

To make the story short.

I'm in the right lane that will be turn only/ u-turn lane up ahead. Ass hole behind me and some car to the left of me in the left lane. The dick head from behind gets in to the 3rd lane passes the car next to me, cuts off that car then cuts me of right at a turn.

I'm like WTF man not cool at all, there was ,no joking, a inch or less form me hitting him. Now i'm a relaxed person but that was just a WTF moment right there. So now i'm behind him in a one lane road flipping him off. He doesn't like that so he slams the brakes, but i know that trick way to well so i keep my distance while still flipping him off.

So...

The dick head stops the car at a green light opens the door and starts charging at me. Screaming and cussign like crazy that I'M the ass hole b/c i did not let him through and that why am i flipping him off. So we have a change off words F you F me F your state, mean while cars start collecting behind me. After he vented like a rhino, he gets back in the car and drives off.

Guess what state he is from? I'll give you a hint, Snooki Want Smoosh Smoosh
