Who did you pre-order from? A newbie observation - all the Cobb stuff appears to cost the same no matter where you go.

That's because Cobb requires all of their authorized resellers to use a set price. If Cobb finds out someone is selling for something besides that set price Cobb can yank their "authorized reseller" status.

Resellers have to do other things to differentiate themselves (free shipping, etc.).

More like Cobb's trying to protect their price.

Hail Free Trade & Free Competition.

Salaki:

Nope. It is Cobb trying to protect their vendor's margins. Any good brand does that. Otherwise you become just another garbage brand whored out on the internet for cost plus shipping margin. Which is great until another brand finds another batch of Chinese prisoners who will work for $0.10/day instead of your factory's $0.11/day.

If you want to have long term brand image you have to protect you vendor's margins. Don't forget, the reseller's are Cobb's customers, not us. Basically Cobb sells them the opportunity to make money selling the product. The product they sell to the vendors is opportunity of the margin, not the product itself.

Business 101: you make money on the buy side.

Understand that...

Then turns around that it's probably better if the reseller uses somekind of rebate / free shipping for buying incentive then.
