Default My 24 hours

Just venting
I had about a 1/4 tank of gas, U-turn, car dies. FedEx driver helps me push it, I said only push here. We go up a small drive, then it fires up no problem.
I get home the entire back of my car was caved in along the back.
Nice guy, thanks for the push. F&^#^#ed up the back of the car.

I'm get to West Houston Subie, AC went out. My braided EGT sensor line rubbed a hole in the AC line. $500.00 to fix the line. Need advice from the TXIC.
Can I fix it cheaper?

WHS did warranty my fender wells and re-painted my door handle and front spoiler (honoring their word), amazing. The also torqued all the bolts and checked the car over before the Texas Mile and removed the interior.
I had a small charge, no big deal.

1 hour later I'm at Underground Graphics, Greg is awesome. If you ever need something in graphics for the car, he is the man for the job.

I leave Underground, get caught at a u-turn when I see a Camry run a light, she gets tagged by a truck and spins here right into the u-turn lane and sprays radiator fluid on my car but we did not make contact, graphics are fine. Almost crapped myself, she missed me by about 2 feet. Tow truck driver washed my car off for me.

I get to my daughters school, pick-up area, I open the front passenger door just to freak her out,(no front seat), teacher slams they door hard enought to toss a penny out of the door pull. I'm like hey, it's not a chevy lady . We drive to the bank, I hear daddy turn it up. Kelly Clarkson(hottie) on the radio, then I hear a buzzzzzpvvvit on the right side passenger door, Boston speaker dies a loud death.
I was about to as well. Damm teacher.
I'm now hiding under my desk.
Vent over, still need AC advice.

150+ this weekend will help you feel better.

Sorry about the AC Scott, if you had time u could just order the hose off the web. Then we could install and recharge it somewhere for cheap.

I think that is a good idea. Can I cut the line and have fittings put in place that would hold pressure?

Last night I was playing poker at The Kentucky Club and took 6th overall.
Maybe my luck is changing.

That sucks!... sorry to hear the crummy news... I think your upcoming legal-lead-foot-day will cheer you right up

Now then, -my- last 24 hours has been going like this:

First off, I had been working at this job working with a Senator, and doing his daughter on the side. Sweet gig. Then, outta the blue!... the -both- get kidnapped by some Middle Eastern terrorists!... I had to go bust 'em out -by my self-.. .it was intense. I killed many people.

Then, these sorry bastidges decided to screw up the nuclear power-plants over the entire country and I had to -again- go all crazy ape-nuts on 'em and put -that- back in order... again... many more people got waxed.

Finally, after I figured out that the people partially responsible were -our own- defense contractors, I had to go raid their building.. they got pissed and tried to kill me... I holed up in a gun-store and fought 'em off with a few locals... it was intense. My backup finally arrived, and man am I tired!

Oh crap.... waitaminute.... that wasn't -my- last 24, that was a t.v. show _called_ 24, and my name isn't actually Jack Bauer, it's Jamesohoh7.

darn. I was having a great adventure there for a bit... then I woke up!

which AC line was damaged? the one up by the intercooler? if so just get someone to arc weld it as a patch... i had it happen to my old WRX, and it was fixed for like 50$ or less... the hole was caused by the gen 1 TXS top mount intercooler.... prior to them realizing that damaged AC lines were bad stuff....

omg, if that is true, that sucks huge.

I'll chip in with the AC part:

the reason they are going to charge you an arm and a leg is because they are adding in the cost of a dryer, if you do the fix quick enough, you won't need to change the dryer, but if too much humidity gets into the system, the dryer will need to be replaced also, and if the system tries to run while open for too long you can hose your compressor.

so, go to a junkyard, and get the replacement part as soon as you can, and hope your dryer doesn't soak up too much water out of the air.

Alex was running the motorized cut-out until he whacked it on a curb at Nick's.. cratering the actual motor-part.

I remember his expression... it was like the very same day he got it installed (or within a few days): I was like: "dude, lemme check it out.. how's it work!?" he was like: "well, you hear it's open right now.. then I hit this button.... [the sound of the car does not change]....hmmm... I -hit this button- ... [the sound of the car does not change] ....damnit." doh.
