Default 2009 WRX NAVI question?

So I decided to get myself an OEM navigation for my 09 wrx. MY09 is equiped with a basic single dics player, radio and AUX port. What are the additioanal pieces do I need to install the navi correctly? Also, will my AUX port work with navi or no? Has anyone done this, because Sacramento dealeship is the most useless place to ask for help.

There are threads regarding the install. It requires wiring changes. PM SVXdc he knows everything. You can also buy the plug and harness from him or used.

Well, I know a lot about Subaru OEM audio, but not everything.

See this: Navi transplant harness

Yes, you can retain use of your OEM 3.5mm aux jack.

I think I spell it out in that first link...

In addition to the harness, at a minimum you'll need a GPS antenna and to tap into some factory wires.

You'll need to downgrade your 2011's SWCs if you want those to work.

Optionally, you'll need a microphone for the Bluetooth call feature.

See link for details/issues.

Did you take any pictures? We'd love to see them.

None of Subaru's OEM HUs have built-in sat radio. On all of them that are capable (which is only the last few years), you must add an OEM sat radio tuner module. And in most cases, you must also add a sat radio antenna.

With just a few exceptions, "pre-wired" only means there is a stretch of factory-installed coax antenna cable, ready for you to add the tuner module and antenna.

unfortunately i didn't get the chance to take any pictures i was to worried about doing it and not wrecking anything. it was honestly really easy everything is more than excess able with just a knife to pop off the covers and a philips screw driver and socket set. not to sound stupid but what is the OEM sat radio tuner module and where can i get it because if i can just use the OEM unit and my sirius xm antenna i just installed then i wont have to go nav unit yet
