Default 04 STI engine -> 02 WRX questions

What I have: 02 WRX with an 04 WRX Tranny
What I have to Install: Complete (everything under the hood) 04 STI engine with ECU, engine bay wiring, control arms and x-member.
What I want to end up with: a fun ass DD.

My Questions:
1. What will I need to mate the 04 STI engine to my 04 WRX tranny?
2. I believe I will need a V7 JDM STI ECU, is this correct?
3. What else do I need?

When I go away to Basic Training in 4 months, my brother and Father are going to install this for me for a cool $500 + a couple of remodeling weekends at my parent's house.

Thx, Dan

huh? what do you mean the trnny engine match up fine you don;t have to do anything especially if you;re running the STI ECU you'd judt have to splice some wires besides that it'll work fine mechanically...

or did i just misunderstand the question

Sounds like your on the right track, many people have answered this on Nasioc, Do some searching and return to this thread

1. Engine Should Be a Direct Bolt-on, If you can Get a stronger tranny than your 02 WRX those trannies are known to be ****

2. You will need the entire harness that goes with that car

3. Searching will answer this.
