i'll be using torqued performance stage 2. from what I've read boost creep isn't something that can be tuned out though

just read somewhere that keeping the oem muffler can help stop boost creep..lol

But really, elaborate on the whistle.
I can't explain it that well. I've tried to come up with what I'm going to say, and still haven't decided on an intelligent definition. It is turbo whistle, but like I said, it is profound on stock turbo's and aftermarket turbo's. I have a friend that has a stock forester with a catless dp, and upon start up you can hear his turbo whistle the same as a friend who has a built block with a FP Green. However, I have a friend who has a catted DP and an AMR T60, and his sounds the same as the guys with catless dp's. I'll try to send you a video later that demonstrates the sound.

Read the same thing. But I've also been told you need the grim speed solenoid and then it can be tuned out. The popping is really common in exhausts that are extremely restrictive a guess. It gets worse the more you open it up it seems. Catted seems to just make things easier and I've heard the cat really doesn't hurt gains all that much.

more restrictive mufflers(like stock for instance) should help with boost creep and popping..lol

so 3" catbacks
-annoying(to yourself and others)
-expensive
-hardly any gains
-makes you more of a cop magnet
-cause worse boost creep

but they sound so sick brah, must have mod..lol

I had the same issue several times over and people helped with a solution. Finally put a fork in it on Wednesday.

They are hella hecka cool. $900 for a noise maker is awesome! That's why I got the q300 for my sedan! Although it is also a nice bumper ornament as well.

Which CBE was it that had reports of the bumper melting? I've read the XL hangers are a must, but I don't remember if the was a specific exhaust or not?

Celery, I agree with you.

I just hope it doesn't rasp to much. I hate on alot of scions and evo's with 4inch fart cannons that drone like crazy. I don't want to be one of those guys.

I don't want to seem like the guy who says "not mine". But it really doesn't drone at all. The hatchback q300 does from what I gather but the sedan really doesn't at all. The stock exhaust drones compared to the sedan q300. I absolutely love my q300, I hated my np axelback. I sold it and bought the q300. Stock hangers and been on for 10,000 miles with not even a hint of melted bumper as well. Tons of people running the q300 where I live on the sedan and with no complaints.

Forgot to say, zero rasp too. I can't stand rasp, my np axelback had a lot of rasp IMO. Not quite 4" tips on the q300. I measured them, maybe 3.8". Np said 4" would hit the bumper and I'm assuming invidia found this out as well and that is why they went with the 3.8". Just a guess.

I have a tsudo n1 catback that I got for $200 with a catless dp. It's a bit raspy and pops a lot. Which I love haha. The only thing I don't like is the drone, but music fixes that. Oh and it melts the bumper even with xl hangers so I had to zip tie it over some lol
