the only way you can run "staggered" is staggered offsets but same wheel width all around. For example: 18x8.75 +20 in the rears and 18x8.75 +35's in the front.. other then that your center diff will taking a ****ing crap on you.. |

Can I put xxr 530s 17" on my 2005 wrx with a 1.75 drop without any issues. I don't have sti brembos just stock brakes and I don't want to have to roll the fenders.

All of these are important questions when asking about fender mods.

Ok, if you want minimal work and a good payoff, do a 17x8.25 +25 with a 225 series tire.

I still wouldn't run the risk..it's way easier to replace wheels than a center diff/tranny

of course, thats pretty obvious. Now with our cars it would be a little useless to run 9j's up front and say 12j's in the rear, being that we have so much room in the front fenders and so little room in the rear fenders. The only situation i found myself wanting to run staggered wheels was to actually run one pair of wheels out front and a different pair of wheels in the back. Lets say someone wanted to run 18x9.75 527s in the front and 18x10 521s in the rear, im wondering if same spec tires all around wouldnt make a difference?

I wouldn't advise doing it but... I know a few people that have done it on subaru's and had no ill effects. And ive done it on my evo also had no problems over the 3 years it was like that. Also the 9.75 is pretty much a 10 wide from what ive read.
