I'm still 5x100, I have an 04 STi swap

I gotta see if I should go 235 or 245. I like 245, but I'm worried that 245/40 will be too much. I guess I could look around for 245/35.

I honestly can't find any wheels I like in 17x8 that aren't ridiculously expensive. So I'm going with 17x9.

Get some meaty 235/40 size tires. My NT-05's are on the wide side for 235's. Best of both worlds, fitment and width.

my 2011 is a WRX so it's still 5x100. I'm right around the corner if you want to throw a wheel on your car.. They're 235 17x9's I believe.

I have 245-40-18's on my car. They dont rub at all unless i got 4 people in the car and corner hard. And i think the same size in17's will actually be a little smaller diameter (i think, im dyslexic, maybe my math is backwards)

And im def lower than you.

I have to bolt at 5 tonight but I'll be around tomorrow until about 7:15-7:30 (gotta be in Brighton by 8). I also work from home so if you're around during the day, that could work as well. Shoot me a PM or text (seven eight one, nine five three, zero two five zero)

Well if you go with 245/40 you looking at(depend on brand) 24.72 in. diameter vs. 24.40 on the 235. Difference in diameter in 0.315 in. or 1.274%. It might don't look that big of a number but it is. That will make your speedo read 61 if you're going 60. I think your best bet is just stay with 235. Or like I said, you can get some 18" and get 245/35 and that only -0.429 of the difference in diameter.

Everything good the temp just went up a little. Its just something I now realize I need to fix so that I don't have to remember to tell people to leave it on.

Im running 235/45 on stock 17 with 20mm spacers. You can definitely run 245.

You're talking about a 7.5" (or is it a 7"?) wheel while he is worried about stretching a tire over a 9" wheel... slightly irrelevant.
