So I got froggy Saturday and took my exhaust off right behind the 02 sensor for the time being untill I get my new exhaust. Today I decide I'm gonna drive it to work instead of my company truck.

I am sitting at a red light and a Mustang gt pulls up next to me.(it's still about 65 outside in the mornings so we both had our windows down.) he revs his up once I ignore it. Second time he revs it up I look at him and laugh and rev mine up.
His response: dafuq is that?
Was just priceless.

My wife has a WRX and she is also fairly well verse in car stuff (she follows F1 and the WRC) and knows the difference between a turbo and a supercharger. So when she bought her WRX, she pretty much had a solid handle on what she was getting into and what she didn't know - she learned, because she once told me - she hates to be ignorant about anything she is involved with.

So she comes home and tells me this dude at the gas station, driving a mustang, was trying to chat with her but also put down her car.

He said, "Nice looking hood scoop, is that for looks?" I assume he thought she didn't know anything.
She said, "No - it's to force air over the intercooler, to cool down the air heading into the turbo!".
She told me that he had a puzzled look on his face. Like he was shocked and had no idea what she was talking about.
She then said, "You DO know what a intercooler and turbo is, don't you?"
She told me his buddy in the passenger seat yelled, "SLAM! You just got punked by that chick!"

He was pissed and drove off.

Kinda like their "hood scoops" that have plastic honeycomb blocking it.

read it all its worth it, this all took place within two hours
Walking through a parking lot to get my roommates towed car and he points out a subaru

Him: look at the spoiler on that car
I look and see only a wingless wrx so I ask "You mean hood scoop?"
Him: Yeah I meant HUD scoop
I wasn't being picky but he very obviously pronounced "hood" wrong so I pointed it out.
Him: (trying to act like he wasn't stupid made himself retarded trying to recover) No HUD's a real thing man, and that scoop's one.
Me: Stop BSing you can't seriously tell me that's a Heads Up Display scoop.
He never admitted he was wrong, but later I had to explain to him how to open his hood after noticing he wasn't using the hood release, but instead was unsuccessfully pulling up and looking at his car weirdly.

Hes great with computers, but he also proceeded to roll backwards down a hill telling me his brakes weren't working then stopped and realized his car wasn't on so I can safely assume cars aren't his thing

Had someone who drives an RSX in town post an a rsx forum recently about my car. I have the exact quote of what he said as well. Keep in mind, this guy claims to have had a WRX (he paused) STi in the past but didn't know **** about it. I would assume if he did he would know about the Saab. We even talked one night for a bit and I went all in detail about Subarus and he still posted out of his as..

Him: "You should see this meet in my town this guy has a SABB that he claims has a sti wrx thing turbo hatch it's freaking terrible"

He then got corrected by multiple people and never showed his face in that thread again. Keep in mind, he had been posting there pretty consistently for the past few weeks.

So yeah, I laughed out loud at that.
