Funny, the first turbo car I drove was a Chrysler LeBarron, over a decade ago, and I found out the same thing, the hard way.

When launch I reverse, I like to take my hands of wheel to see where it takes me, while you surprise the evo, your car suprises you. Everybody wins

In reverse you spool @ 6mph, not 12mph and you don't have to shift so your 0-60 & 100' times are great!

Mud flaps are the most ridiculous/stupid thing people do to subarus. So damn stupid. Right up there with tow hooks and roof racks (that aren't used) on Hondas

My car has soft paint. I drive on gravel covered roads all the time. I want my paint protected, they look good, and I donated to breast cancer when I bought mine. So no, they aren't stupid.

I'm glad you donated, absolutely I support that.

But no, they do not look good. Quite the opposite in fact. They basically ruin the look of the entire car and that's hard for one "mod" to do.

That's obviously subjective and i'm sure there are many that disagree.

It's funny when people get so butthurt over everybody else in the entire world not reaffirming their pathetic opinions for 100% truth.

Lol, too funny!

I figured someone would bring up the 12 mph spool too.

A coworker asked if my Impreza Sport Premium cost $50k when he was trying to figure out how expensive it was. Unlike him, I try not to own cars costing my entire annual salary (or live off-the-books in a girlfriend's Section 8 apartment).

You are entitled to your opinion. But honestly, I think a good number of people in this forum are either neutral towards them or like them, so if you expect people to agree with you, you're in the wrong place. And on that note, if you think that makes us a "bad group", you bought the wrong car.

When it comes to anything being "cool", it usually depends on the context in which it has been presented to you your entire life. Was said object presented along-side other "cool" objects or experiences, or was it the opposite?

I hate country music because I was forced to listen to it while riding the bus as a kid. But I like Fleetwood Mac because my parents would always play it when we would drive up to our camp in the summer.

If you don't like flaps, you've probably been exposed to them in a negative light, maybe some local ricer has then on his SRT... but you most likely didn't grow up watching rally racing.

I love my Rokblokz flaps. They look really aggressive and yet professional, with their nice little white stickers, and they are highly functional with the kind of roads I drive on.
