Lol, you have 2 choices. Pay it, or go to court and fight it.....

It is true that many places require the information on the ticket to be accurate. Wrong model is often enough to throw the ticket out. However, most jurisdictions I know of that do this also require you to contest by mail or show up in court with proof that the ticket is wrong. So you are both mostly right.

But not contesting in some form or ignoring the ticket is the worst possible choice.

If you ignore the charge, it gets worse. You have to show up in court regardless of any errors on the citation.

Or pay the fine.

Do not ignore it, it will not magically go away.

Atleast in canadian courts that is. I dont know about you fellas to my south.

Guy at a fast food drive through pushes the chick in the window out of the way and asks "is that a Civic Si!?"

"No, it's an STi."

"What is that?"

"It's a Subaru."

"Oh....cool."

Dude was oblivious.

But they didn't even catch the plate, how would they know he got a ticket? All they know is that some Toyota Corrola with no plates (so no way to trace the owner) got a ticket.

Unless they somewhat took the VIN.

Blew a tire on the freeway. Pulled over and realized my jack wasn't in my car. Was trying to call someone to bring me one and highway patrol pulls up behind me. He asks if I'm alright and I said I was fine but I needed a jack. He says he has one and I can use it. He goes to the trunk of his cruiser and comes back with a tire iron. I just kinda looked at him for a minute...

I was like... I need a jack and then made the motions of lifting the car up off the ground. He looked confused and says "Oh like the whole thing" and then walks back and grabs the jack.

He stands by me while I'm changing the tire and asks me how fast I have gotten my STI up to. I just kinda laughed and said whatever the speed limit sign says(didn't really want to explain that it was a WRX). He asked a few other questions and then I thanked him and he went on his way.

I'd be disappointed too if someone drove up in a stupid '11 STI instead of a Civic SI.

LESSthanDan^ at least the HSP was not a jerk like so many of the ones I see here... its nice no matter how clueless he was that he helped and actually did his job as a peace officer instead of starting problems like so many do...

Soooo.... how fast have you gotten your WRX to?? you can tell us

The security Guard at my work came up to me and excitedly asked "Dude, how did you manage to mount speakers on the front of your car? That's a pretty dope idea, was It hard to do!?!" (he was looking at my Hella Supertones)
I could only laugh and tell him that it was easier than mounting the two 12" subwoofers behind the headlights....

My mother almost greeted my at the door with her Beretta. Long story short I did a K-turn in front of my house so the car was facing the top of the street, and as I walk in the door she's right there, and the following dialogue takes place:

Mom (somewhat stirred)- Do you know what that deep rumble was just now? I heard it creep in front of the house, slowly get louder for a few seconds, then stop in front of the house, then get louder, then stay steady for a few seconds.

Me- Oh that was my car. I did a k-turn so the car is facing the right way.

Mom- Oh my god, I had no idea what that was. I almost started thinking someone was casing the house and was about to grab my gun.

45 year old woman at the gym? I bet she looked good all around, assuming she was actually working out and not just hanging out oggling the young men working out
