Default Tri-State winters and keeping ur car clean....

Just had out first real storm and my car looks like ****. I have been handwashing up until now but its too cold out. I'm also worried about the undercarriage and salt. What do you all do? Succumb to an auto car wash?

Find an indoor hand wash. Quite a few in the metro NYC area.

White Plains Car Wash does a great job

I go to the self-wash and spray it down after every snow/salt cycle that I had the car out for.

^^^^ They don't really have them in the 5 boroughs....that's why I started this thread. They have some hoses at a couple of BP gas stations but they actually close them in the winter due to freezing hose lines. I think I'll just take it a hand wash place. My car is disgusting. I dont even want to touch the door handle.

Besides the washes at the BP stations, there was one in Brooklyn with dedicated wash bays. As of a few months ago, they turned it into a ghetto parking lot instead

Yep----Know exactly where you're talking about. Used it FOREVER.
There are some self-wash spots in Brooklyn just not indoor. Once the temps are below 32 its a wrap- Gotta go town indoor hand-wash facility-They exist out here(*BK)

Luckily this past Wednesday it went up to 62 degrees so I got the hose out and gave it a good wash after work. Next time though Im just going to drop it off at a reputable hand wash spot. I need to chill with the OCD.
