Default 2015 WRX - Subaru OEM Side Sill Plate Installation Guide.

Hey Guys,

I had a few packages show up this week. One of those packages were the Subaru oem side sill plate kit (Part # E101SVA000).The install is fairly simple but since no directions are included in the package I decided to do a small write up.
* Pardon the look of my filthy car in these pictures, I've been having too much fun driving to clean it *

First, the contents of the package:

From Top - Bottom: Driver & Passenger Side Side Front Sill Plates, Squeegee, Four Alcohol Pads, Driver & Passenger Side Side Rear Sill Plates, & the Front & Rear Installation Templates.

Step 1: The templates come on one acrylic sheet, this means you have to cut them out with a pair off scissors. Be careful and take your time so you don’t end up ruining the template. The end results should look like this -

Step 2: Now open the passenger side door & clean the inner door sill with the supplied alcohol wipes.

Step 3: Line up the Template, and secure in place by using a few pieces of tape.I suggest using some sort of masking, painters, or packing tape.Something that can be removed easily without leaving too much residue behind.

Step 4: After the Template is lines up and taped down. Take the side sill plate to test fit by aligning to the edges of the template & adjust the template as necessary.

Step 5: Once everything looks good, peel the tape from the back of the sill plate and install to the edge of the template just like you did during your test fit.Just take your time since the back side of the sill plate is very sticky. You can peel it up if you make a mistake and adjust as necessary, but if you do this too many times the side sill can get ruined. Its best to have some patience and lay it down right the first time.

Step 6: Take your squeegee and slide from the middle of the sill plate to the edge in one direction, then from the middle out to the opposite side of the sill plate. repeat a few times and your done.

REPEAT ON DRIVER SIDE & REAR DOOR SILLS.

Didn't receive one at all. That's helpful and should make the install even more of a breeze in combination with what I posted for future installers.

O man. this looks nice. I wonder if it will be redundant to do it on an STI.
