After 3 long weeks from hearing excuses from the eBay seller for used accessport finally arrived today..

I think it's like $100 or so, definitely not $400

If it's around $100, I'd say $500 for a v2 AP isn't too bad

ya they're gonna charge you big time to unmarry it...

i'd do what meffjoo said and either file a paypal claim or even better call your credit card company and have them deal with it.

It has been escalated already... but everyone knows how protective paypal protection is..

My best bet is with the credit card company.. although i used my checking account.

Did you ask a lot of questions before you bid? How was the seller's communication? What was their feedback score? Have you tried getting their contact information through eBay now that you have a transaction with them? You should be able to get an email address and possibly a phone number, from which you can get a physical address if you do enough searching.

The auction itself stated that it was unmarried and ready to go. I believed him because his email address matched the NASIOC acct and he has 9+ Seller rating.

His communication was pretty good until he had an 'unfortunate' inicident with his family member or so forth so I continued to take his word.

Still no response... Paypal dispute is already on and escalated to dispute. I also have his return address where he sent from but How do I know if that's the right address?

I have heard the "family emergency" so many times from friends who are buying on ebay. Its all BS. If you ever hear this type of story again than get your money back.

Sorry to hear this though man. To find out if this is the right address, make up a new email address, send him a letter that says something so he emails you with his name. Then you will know if the post card went to the right place.

I learned my lesson about buying Ap's over the internet...I would tell ppl now, to only buy

them if you can meet up with the seller first.

I just checked right now and I could be in a real deep *****. It seems that I paid with my paypal balance rather than with a credit card. If paypal fails, I'm screwed.. which is probably will be the case...

Yeah, they must be close to shutting down by now. Intelligent comment.

I've been a registered eBay user for about ten years. I've bought and sold bikes, skis, kayaks, electronics, clothing, car parts, and all kinds of other stuff ranging from $5 to $3500. In over 300 auctions (200 as buyer and 100 as seller), I've only had a couple issues and these were resolved within a week or two. No one starts threads about good eBay experiences, just the bad ones, which makes it seem worse than it is. The key is maintaining good communication and staying away from any deal that seems to good to be true.

I agree - unless it's a real inexpensive item, I always make sure the person has a strong feedback rating, and that they are current - I've had a few issues, but most have been resolved in short order. Ebay is still a great place to get things on the cheap, though.
