Unhappy ECU needs to be re-programmed- a few questions about my CEL codes

ok, so I go to the dealership to have them clear a cel, inspection sticker, and re-simo the car (because of the accident- got to love warranties)

so it's in for about 40 min, they call me out- first got the inspection sticker no problem- with the straight pipe

but here comes the fun, they say they called subaru and they have to re-prgram my ecu, or send it to be programmed.

I'm throwing cel codes: P0340 Cam position sensor- no biggie I don't think

po447- evaporation vent control circuit
po1443- vent control solenoid vavle

what the hell are those supposed to mean??!

that and the second question- can they attribute these to the boost monkey? as some of us know, it's attached to both the boost solenoid AND the ecu.

anyone?

speed safely

None of those would be caused by a monkey...

At least, the evap codes are unrelated to the monkey, and there are other evap codes that trigger a lot on older ECUs... particularly as the gas tank gets low.

Not entirely sure about the cam position one.

evap codes are very often the result of filling your car up(gas) while the ignition is "on" running or just in the on position.
I cleared about 700,000,000,000,000,000,000 of them when I was a dealership tech

ok, as long as it's "not too bad"- thanks KC
they say it'll take a couple of days probably, whatever, I don't run the car everyday anway

ray said he's had his cam shaft sensor replaced because of the code- I've gotten it a couple of times now

dave- nope- always off hell I even tighten the crap out of the gas cap

andrew- that's what I thought. do you think I'll have to pull the monkey off so they can re-program? I can't remember if it's connected at a connection or not, I think so, so all they would have to do is pull off the connecter and there ya go, I think, oh hell I'm so confused

speed safely
