Default How long will stock tires last, 2013

I leased my Impreza for 3 years/ 10,000 mile lease. I am hoping the tires will not need replacing just as its time to take the car back. I don't drive aggressive and will probably rotate the tires every 6,000-9000 miles. Just curious!

They are the stock Avid S33. I searched but most threads seem to be the upgraded wheel/tires

I put 30k on a set of the stock avids, and they were holding up fine. Still had at least 5-10k left on them.

I'd expect the stock avids to last well beyond the lease period.

Ok thanks for the answers. I probably won't put 25k on the car so I should be good!

34000 on my stockers and they are toast. Hoping they make it another couple months. Mine also wore really unevenly for some reason.

I had a tire replaced during my last oil change. There was a nail in the sidewall that couldn't be repaired. They barely made the half-tread depth requirement. Any more worn and I would have had to replace all four...
I had just over 15K on them at that point. They're getting loud and developing a whump-whump noise. Not sure how much longer I can tolerate it.

Lincoln's head says my tires are still good at over 26k miles. I still want to replace them by the end of the year.

I'm getting that noise pretty bad already and I'm only at about 9500 miles.

I'm questioning whether I should get higher quality tires before winter time. I really don't want to waste the tire life, but if they're as bad as everyone says they are in the winter, that concerns me.

Are you guys losing much fuel efficiency when you go to a tire with more rolling resistance?

Mine are at 7/32 at 18K mi. Half of the usable tread is gone, so they'll probably be legal at 40K, though I probably won't have them on that long.

I'm at just past 15000 miles (closing in on 25k km). MY '13.

I don't see anything obvious yet. But I'm due for a service soon. Let's see what the measurements come up with. The stock tires seem to be competent enough in dry and light wet. They suck in the coastal snow, though. I really don't relish the prospect of having to trust these tires when the snow hits this winter.

Stock tires suck ****ing **** trust me. If winter driving is an issue for you, just replace them before it snows. They suck when they have full tread and mine are almost gone after less than 2 years. 15000 miles right about now and they're definitely dangerous for winter driving. I don't trust them in wet, they're okay for dry.

42000 on a 2012 premium cvt tires are down to 5/32nds and I will have new tires on November 1st. They could probably make the winter but I don't want to chance it.

PS: Mine actually have around 18K on them. I forgot I drove about 9K on winter tires.

It would be difficult to return the car and not get charged for new tires. Even with regular rotations and light driving, the tires wear quickly and the dealer will be looking for a way to measure tread depth in such a way that they need to be replaced. There is a reason many off lease cars sitting on a lot are on a shiny set of brand new tires.

Also the tires are horrible in the snow as has been noted. For some people they are "OK", but overall they don't incite confidence in winter conditions like stopping and turning.
