Convert 5x100 to 5x114.3 P.C.D.
Has anyone converted the old style STi /WRX hubs from 5x100 to 5x114.3 bolt circle without swapping hubs axels and the like ?
Is there enough material in the hubs to add an extra set of stud holes on the larger bolt circle in between the existing holes ? I don't mind changing rotors to 5x114.3 . There are many more wide wheels available in 5x114.3 than 5x100 .

Besides the wider selection of wheels, the main advantage of the large STi hub is the larger/stronger bearing. If you need the wider wheels that badly (lots of autocross?) the larger bearing would be a good upgrade for you anyway.

driveshaft shop has made some axles that are r160 inners(diff side) and r180 outer sections(hub side). you can give that a shot, but you would also need to change the front struts as the connection from the coilover to the hub are different(to accomodate the wider 05 hubs). Now that I think about it, I'm not too sure if the 05 rear press in hubs will fit in r160 hubs. Approximate cost from the dealership for front and rear hubs with all parts~1500. If you know someone at the dealership, maybe 1300. If you use subaru bucks, basically take another 25% off which makes it a little under 1000. |
