Default Rotella 5w40?

Hey guys I will be installing the Cosworth Shortblock on my 06 STI and was pondering what motor oil to run and I came across Rotella! What do you guys think of running this specific oil? I search but didnt get much info about it just that some people really do like it a lot! Thanks

I ran it in my XT for two years and every one of the Blackstone analysis reports came back excellent. I think it's a quality oil. However, it too may be reformulated or getting there to meet the new API SM regs, which means that there may be fewer friction reducing additives than when I ran it.

Do NOT use the Synthetic Rotella to break in your motor. Use cheap Castrol dino oil for the break in. Then switch to the synthetic Rotella T. I use that oil.

I approve of this motor oil. Ron recommends it to his customers / engines and I run it in my car.
