Default Which dealer (RI/S.Mass) did you go to for recall work?

Hi all

I need to get the control arm recall done on my 04 WRX but usually avoid dealers and their service departments at all costs. Where have people gotten this recall taken care off? Will they give me a hard time about any mods (I've had people refuse oil changes because of my skid plate!) ?

I refuse to go to Balise. And the guy at Anchor told me over the phone a few months ago that the recall wasn't a big deal and to basically not bother.

You "shouldn't" have a problem anywhere honestly. If your close to Bourne Ma come to Atlantic Subaru, we have no problem with modded cars.

Sub'd. I've been wondering the same thing. Anchor is closest to me, but I've never been there for any type of work.

This is a very simple job, I can't imagine any mods that would prevent them from accessing the control arms nor be used to claim the parts failed for other reasons. All they are going to do is lather them up with the rust inhibiting gel. Seems like very few people have been rotted enough to need replacement.

Yea one would think. Unfortunately like i said I've been refused service from Balise because of a skid plate. I just don't want to take time out of work and waste a day only to be told that they won't honor a recall due to some ridiculous reason.

NateLS1- Thanks, I'll check out Atlantic if I can't find anything closer. They're about an hour away.

North end in lunenburg. I just finished replacing the lca's on a modded wrx with a shield. No issues with mods.

Most of the time the control arms pass. About an hour and you should be good to go

North End in Lunenburg is neither close to S.Mass/RI nor a trustworthy dealer.

IIRC, last time he brought his car up there, one of the techs took his car out for a nice little joy ride.

Has anyone taken it to Metrowest? That is the closest dealer to me.

Comments like this don't help your plea that North End is a reputable place to have your car serviced.

Forums are public , keep that in mind, I'm sure your manager would be thrilled to read something like this....

Well, for point 1, have you looked at a map lately?

For point 2, do a quick search on NESIC. NESIC has hated North End since long before youve ever heard of NESIC.

Ex-Employees told tales of how they wouldnt let the techs there work on their cars, even while they work there.

My first hand experience? Read here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1688870

This. How does a tech discover a modded WRX is running boost in the low 20s, for a Seat Bolt inspection?

Never said you did work there at the time. Just saying it's not the best move to make a comment that condones that behavior, considering you're an employee of north end
