Acquacow, how did you do the red lip? Did you use the red sticker they offer now or did you paint it?

Why should I need to search for it when this is the compilation thread that is supposed to eliminate the need to search for painted wheels? lol

Either way, the wheels came out sick. Nice job!

You will find that searching is the way of the Nasioc

Be sure to click through each page of my thread for each step. Not all of the steps are on the first page.

Yea I'm doing my stockers gold. That's how they come in Japan right? If you google it, you'll see pics of gold '06/'07 wheels.

Wow, some nice paint jobs in this thread! I have a set of gunmetal Rota SDRs for my daily driving wheels, but I just finished masking off inside edge of the tires on my stock wheels, as well as doing the initial wash-sand-wash prep work. Now I just have to decide what color I'm going to paint them...I'm torn between gunmetal or black with a blue lip to match my car or just painting the whole wheel gold. Not sure if my can of world rally blue paint has enough for the lip on all 4 wheels, either.

Sorry, don't have pics of them on my car at the moment...I took the wheel weights off and need to take them in somewhere for rebalancing. I have Rota SDRs as my normal daily driving wheels so I'm not in any rush to put these on the car. Paint job isn't very good but you only notice the flaws if you look closely.

Mine have held up great, I've been through a full winter and there isn't a single sign of the paint coming off or fading.

Call it what you will, but I only did it as a "let's see how it turns out". They are my winter set so I couldn't care less if they look "ricey".
