quitest exhaust
i couldn't find this on the search, if anyone is asking...
i want to keep the stock exhaust, because i like the look, and the sound. i dont' want a really loud or beefy sounding exhaust... but i know the muffler is the most restricted part... is there any exhausts out there, that looks pretty much stock, and sound is pretty much stock?? can anyone help ?

Because of the nature of this forum - engine management - you may find a better answer elsewhere. Probably within whatever realm of aspiration you have.
Good luck! |

The stock muffler is not that restrictive at all. The downpipe(-2) was the biggest improvement and resulted in a sound that could pass for stock from the outside of the car. The uppipe seemed to help spool up and did not add much noise outside the car but was not as noticable in gains as the downpipe. The catback really did not do anything except for change the the db and tone of the exhaust. |

Try the turboXS stealthback system. You will get big benefits, a little more agressive sound, but will keep the stock muffler section.

Sorry couldn't resist. Once you have a free flowing exhaust, putting the stock muffler back on causes a BIG noticable loss. FWIW from someone who's done it. |

The Prodrive is a very well made piece, but for my taste, just too damn quiet.
I'm 40ish and like a bit of non-fartcan burble, and I went with the 3" Stromung |

I honestly can say I couldn't notice any improvement when adding the Prodrive rear section to my existing HKS downpipe and ATR uppipe setup. Is it possible the center pipe is worth replacing in my setup? |
