Question higher spring rate or low spring rate

springs with a higher spring rate, will the ride quality be more bouncy? or more comfortable. low spring rate will it be more comfortable or bottom out more.

i live in michigan were there are some bumpy roads and pot holes. i need springs that wouldn't bottom out, but lowers my gc8. something comfortable
