Unhappy OT parnets, what am i in for

well the fiance has teh pregorz, so what am i getting myself into financialy, i know its going to be quite expensive but i figure i have 9 months to plan and buy things along the way, but what should i start planning for?

i figures i'd start buying things like a crib, car seat and stuff like that, what other things should i start buying or start to worry about?
Is this the end of my life as i know it?

I would like to have kids. Not two girls. I dont think I could handle the teen years. I dont think God will let me reproduce though.

Other than that, good luck.

Congrats!

2nd the baby shower thing. Have your SO invite many wimm3nz - they love to buy that baby stuff and you'll end up tons of nice stuff. We didn't have to buy any diapers until our little girl was 2 months old.

Your life is no where near over. It will change though, but its for the better - you'll realize that when you see your little one's first little toothless grin.

...being a parnet is the greatest thing in the world, for it is trying and developing of not only the young mind but yours as well.

That being said...it is emotionally taxing. What doesn't kill you or land you in prison, will only make you stronger.

P.S. OP better make sure it's his.

Not really. Probably an extra 20-30 bucks a month tops. Less if you go with Target brand (which work just fine).

Why is it the people who want kids can't have them and the ones who don't do?

Buy a membership to costco so you can buy diapers/babywipes/other baby **** for cheaper than regular stores.

Bull****. It's about 45 cents a diaper and the little buggers can sometimes go through 8 a day.

.45 x 8 x 30 = 108

And I'm sure that's not even a worst-case scenario. Plus, all the other stuff like baby food. It adds up FAST.

Good luck dude. If you're posting this thread with a frowny face, you're going to be in for a real treat.

Not getting engaged/pregg0rz early FTMFW.

Congrats. (BTW,That's what all of you other monkey dackers should have said).

Being a parent is hard & your life will change, but for the better.

As said above, throw a baby shower. You will get tons of stuff. For the stuff you may not ger, you can save big $$ at the baby re-sale shops. Most like to buy brand new car seats & cribs for safety reasons, but all of the other stuff can be second hand. Playpens, toys, clothes, high chairs... all that stuff can be found at these stores.
