Arrow How to remove A-pillar? (for hardwiring radar detector)

I am about to hard wire my Escort 8500 and I am going to be running wires through the a pillar... How do I remove it? Just pull it?

Anyone that has hardwired a radar detector which is the best way to tap wires... I was going to do it from the fuse box, but the wiring harness that I got already has an inline fuse as well... THEN I started reading how-to's and people are just tapping the wires from the auto dimming mirror/compass... which I also have.... Not really sure which is the best reliable way?

Thanks,

-Nigel

After you get the three white clips unhooked, start pulling upward and towards you, in order to get the hooked bottom part of the a-pillar from out of the dash.

Pic of mine for reference.

Awesome! Thanks for the how to and the pic!

Just want to make sure that if I am running wires inside the a-pillar there is no chance of them getting cut or anything like what when putting the a-pillar back...

Thanks again!

Not if you put them back properly. When you take it off you'll see that there are already one or two wires run. Just bundle your new wires together with those and you'll be fine.
