There was a couple pages of "spirited debating" on a topic that is merely personal preference and never will be settled. I normally see those unsightly discussions on youtube comments, but I just like great pictures of subies and that is what I am on this thread for...

No, just a very bad curb rash on these crappy asphalt parking burms they have where I work. They are all different sizes and equally as annoying, esp once I clipped one a year or so ago. I want to put some touch up paint on it, but I have been looking at lips to see if I can just cover it haha. Im a bit worried its too big though...

Went to Dyno Comp in Scottsdale today just to chat about some things regarding tuning.

Left with a smoking deal on a used Invidia catted DP, and tuning.

274whp - 308tq

Not as thrilled about the added noise as I am with the power!

Nice! I got protuned last week, rocking 249 hp and 288 ft pounds with a cobb intake and catted DP.

Cant wait to finish it off with a CBE. I had the q300 but it was way too loud for me.

Hard to pass up a good deal . Good video too. What brand dyno is that? I thought a stage 2 protune generally puts down a little more power than that. Obviously that is dyno dependent on what final number you see.

Celery GT Did you paint your fog light housing? Because whatever you did looks great. Its like the perfect in-between the newer bumpers and the older sti bumpers with the black bottom.

Thanks all!

You know, I wish I knew. LOL. I took a look and noted a brand that I'm not familiar with. Just checked their site and they dont list the dyno brand.

Tuning was $200 an hour. Took 3 or 4 pulls. I spent up at least 20 minutes of Keith's time drilling him on parameters and information. He's knows his Subarus. I'm used to being, "the sponsored type" or have been in the past. I rarely walk into a shop, trust their word, and pay retail pricing. I'm over building engines, big turbos, and tuning my own chit that turns into a paper weight. This car is a fun daily, and nothing more. I think where it sits is just fine for me. Its a little loud, but I'll get over it.

Bottom line..... I'm happy, and as a "regular Joe consumer" I'm beyond impressed with Dyno Comp, the Boss there Keith, and their overall professionalism.

BTW, I'm in the market for a 11-13 front bumper and grill if anyone has a lead. Whats on ebay is damaged, or overpriced....

I have considered the TurboXS, MadDad, and Nameless with Magnaflow muffler. Not really interested in any of the eBay brand ones (CNT, FMS, ERZ, etc).
Yeah, definitely personal preference. I think the rolled edge looks the most expensive/OEM, while the N1 style and the straight cut look the cheapest. The flared tips to me is somewhere in between the straight cut and rolled edge.

Commenting on the exhaust note..I like the idea of a quiet car with 400+ whp. But I also LOVE the boxer rumble. I think that's one of the most appealing things when driving my car. And I want to be able to hear it when driving. I would say it enhances my driving experience. To me stock is too muted. I love starting my car in a parking lot and causing people to do a double take. That deep rumble from a little hatchback/econobox.

I came from a 2004 VW R32. Loved the exhaust note with the flapper always open. Like music to my ears.
My buddy just picked up an Audi RS4. The only RS4 I've ever heard before this was one with a Miltek exhaust system. Totally changed the sound of the car. Allowed you to hear the V8's real voice. And it changed my perception of what kind of animal was under the hood. Did it add a lot of hp? No. But it made it different than your average exhaust note on the road, that's for sure. My buddy's RS4 has a stock exhaust on it currently and it was so disappointing to me test driving it and not experiencing that bark of the V8 under WOT.
