Could it be bad gas that can cause this to happen. Do you always get gas at the same place or chain. Just a guess here.

yeah, you should have gotten a honDUH!
do a search w/ my name and o2 sensor somewhere. you'll find a lot of info. what does your dealer say when they replace it? they usually tell you what happened or something. |

I think you should have bought a honda because they are so incredible. Who would have thought...1.6L engines, 110lb/ft of torque!, FWD!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, you dont see them very often, and most of the drivers have a pretty good reputation... need some altezza's? |

he's not a troll its just Darklite ...trying to be cool...the 02 Senors go bad because Boche (Sp) changed the specs on them when they made them for the car. So they don't work and the replacements seem to have the same problem. Just quit Darklite before you get banned.

some potentially USEFUL info here:
it might be the connector to the O2 sensor. the wire to mine was bad (someone did some shoddy work on my car) and the CE light came on. the scan tool said it was the O2. when a Rallispec looked at it they spotted the bad cable and then were able to replace the wire. good luck |

Yeah my front O2 sensor just went out yesterday. I was driving talking about check engine lights and then.... Bing... it comes on like a mile from the nearest Subaru dealer so they changed it right away. NICE!

My CE tripped due to the wiring on my rear sensor being chaffed against the x-member and severing the rear heater wire to the 02 sensor. Its $109 for that damn sensor! And that price is from Subaruparts.com!!!! $150 from the dealer.....

wow the same freakin ***** happened to me..
the rear o2 heater circuit malfuntioned and they tried to say my 02 sensor went from intake and exhuast and werent gonna fix it . so i had to put my stock stuff on then put my intake and exhaust back on again big pain, but it was very clear that he o2 wire was spliced or exposed for i guess scraping like u just said... so go figure..
