!HELP! changed clutch car won't run
I have had my tranny apart and put back together twice now.The first time the dust shield under the flywheel got bent inbetween the motor and tranny,so when the pressureplate would spin it rubbed against it.With that figured out I pulled it all the way apart then put it all back together(with the dust shield out of the way)and now the car won't stay running. It runs for 1 second then stops.During all this BS I installed an upipe, when installing it I tried to bend the needle like senser that plugs into the uppipe and it broke.Every thing has been put together correctly but there is some minor detail that has been untouched.Could anyone who has some experience working on wrx's give me so help thanks alot.

ok, it sounds like a mass air flow (MAF) sensor issue.
Did you remove the turbo when you put the up-pipe in or didi you do it from the bottom? Double check all the inlet tube connections and then try again. Do you have an intake on the car? short ram or CAI. If so make sure the the MAF sensor is in right with the connector facing forward (towards the head light) not backwards (towards the engine). If that doesn't fix it, PM me. -Dylan |

uh the needle like sensor is the egt. Where exactly did you break it. The filament that goes into theh upipe. did you put it back in, if so that could damage your turbo. If not did you plug the hole. Not sure that's related, but something you want to take care of. good luck.

First off I would to thank you very much You told me what no subaru dealer could tell me. You should work for them or the rally team cause you know your [email protected] forgot to say I made a custom intake out of and old aem cold air system into a short ram setup.I welded the maf senser on backwards with the wires to the back of the car. That was the problem. It was resolved by putting back on the stock intake. That Beeoch started right up Hell yeah!!!Thanks again man your cool.
