Question Will 04 STI Springs fit an 04 WRX?

Just like the title. Will normal springs off of an 04 STI fit a normal 04 WRX? And if so, will they be a good upgrade?

I want to make my ride more stout but not loose ride hight, so this was my thinking: put some STI springs on my wrx and later, the struts too.

I was under the assumption that they would swap straight across because of the changes made for the MY04's, but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

Aaron

PS: I searched, but came up empty handed. Probably searched the wrong word combo, because I'm sure its been asked before.

The springs will fit just fine, but they are more spring than your struts were designed for. The ride could be underdamped and bouncy, if not at first, definitely later as your struts will wear out quickly. If you want stiffer springs, they should be installed with struts designed to handle them. Even the best springs can make for a crappy suspension upgrade if not matched with the proper struts.

Right, but this is a problem that any aftermarket spring set would have. Not just limited to a set of 04 STI springs....right?

But these springs will give me the stiffness that I want without the drop in ride-height right?

All I want to do is stiffen up the ride a little bit. Eventually I will find some STI struts to go along w/ the springs.

Sigh . . .

They never listen.

The drop is minimal, about 10mm.
