You can use my car if you want...... You pay for dyno time and you can tune my car again... I'll wipe out the ecu.

On a serious note, the email I got from them a while ago on pricing:

Hi Chris,

We are expecting the dyno to be fully operational by the middle of September.

Our rates are as follows:
3 pull session - $75
Dyno Rental (you tune) - $125/hr
Dyno Tuning (we tune)- $250/hr

If you have anymore questions, please call or email us back.

Thanks,

George Evans

since I have never put my car on a dyno, what is a 3 pull session? I am assuming you just do 3 pulls to see where your car is at, but I just want to make sure I guessing correctly haha. also is that normally in 3rd gear for the pulls?

I know I know it's kind of a noob question.

Yep, three actual dyno pulls... Usually 3rd gear, 2k or so to redline. STi's may use 4th.

ok cool thanks man, yeah I think when Jason and I tune it we usually use 3rd. but that's pretty cool for the $75 just to find out what your numbers are at least, or is it a better deal to just pay the $125 for the hour and do however many pulls you can get in?

Yep, if you just rent it for an hour to do pulls you can get more than three in. If you're tuning though it would probably only be good for 2-3 pulls after the tweaks are made to the map.

almost still just need to street tune most of the way so when you get on the dyno you have enough time for more than 2-3 pulls haha. but with my car still on the stock td04 I don't really care to get it dyno'd just yet, I'll wait till I upgrade a couple more things.

The real question here is, Are they counting putting the car on the dyno as dyno time? That's the part that takes the longest lol.

about how long does it take to strap it up? is it one in front and one in back or 2 and 2? and what do you normally attach it to?

My thoughts exactly... Half hour to strap it on and get everything set up, you're probably cheaper to just do the 3-pull for $75.

It all depends on the dyno setup and the car. If the car is really really low or if the ramps up to the dyno are really steep, bumpers may have to come off and it would be really laborious to get it on the dyno without hanging it on anything. Getting the car on the dyno and getting the dyno alligned right takes about 5 minutes, and strapping it down and hooking everything up takes another 10 minutes. So right there, you're looking at about 25 minutes if you need to take bumpers off. It took harvey about 15 minutes to put my car on the dyno/ strap it down and he does it all the time, and the bumper didn't need to come off.

I pay $75 an hour not including setup time. I got 10-12 runs last time I did an hour.

As long as this one is actually in the ground. Our local tuning shop back in NC had a dyno on a trailer... I didn't trust that one enough to run my car on it.

Not that I'm planning any major mods or anything for the little 2.5i, but it would be nice to have a baseline just to see where I stand.
