need some wiring help please!!
Ok so I just built myself a heavy duty wiring harness out of 12Ga wire, Hella 40-amp dual-87 relays, and 9005 connectors.
The way I have it set up is there is a 9004/9007 connector that plugs into the passenger side factory harness, then feeds over to the 3 relays near the battery.... two of the relays switch on the grounds for hi and low beam, and the third relay switches on the +12V for both lights. The hi's are 9005 bulbs in EDM housings and the lo's are 9005-connectors feeding HIDs in the lowbeam projector housings... so the only difference from my wiring diagram i worked from and my product is that instead of a single 9004/9007 connector at the bulbs, i have a pair of 9005 connectors, one each for the hi and low. Now, the problem I'm having is that when I turn off the car, the lo-s turn off normally, but the HIbeams stay on and no matter what I do with the switch, I can't get the hibeams to turn off when I turn off the car. Any hints on what to look for or what to fix? I used this wiring diagram from scoobymods.com regarding building a hi-current harness for the UK300 lamps: |

B+ relay doesn't look right, when power is off the relay is supplying power th the hi beams in reverse.
Show me the circuit diagram of your relays for more help |

Okay - 86 & 30 complete the ground that connects 85 to 87, correct?
Looks like you're switching the ground through the other 2 relays. What is on the B+ line with power on and off? Trying to understand why pin 87 of the Hi relay gets power when the key is off Shaun |

Eliminate the power relay and run the + to pin 85 of both relays. Connect the B+ line to the B+ of both sockets.
All you'll control is battery voltage to the socket when each relay is triggered bu the main harness. |

Yep 12 volts to 85, when the relay switches, the power will go through to the lights.
With the circuit off, the 12 will just be on the pin |
