I'm not a WRX owner, but Yrabus (Mike) just traded his RS for a WRX, Matt has one too.

I'm holding out for the STi (okay I can't afford the STi so I'll
be holding for a while)

Default I'm here...

But of course there is me!!

Not sure about the winter slalom, depends if I'm in town. Could be interesting, altought I don't like their slalom too much, too cramped in the jetform parking lot...

Welcome!!

I'm an Ottawa WRX owner, and have been since last May.

Tom, Are you the same one that's from Renfrew?

I've been in Ottawa for over 13 years, but I lived in Renfrew throughout my primary and secondary school years.

Name's Ken Robinson. Ya, I'm a little older than you are now. About 10 years.

When I was 24, I bought a Mustang GT. There weren't any WRX's around for me then.

My folks still live in Renfrew and I was down there a week ago.

Speaking of Ottawa....

Are there any shops in town (I know of Lachute - but thats out of town) that could set me up with a cat back exhaust? Like a Brullen or Stromung? I know of Derand and Final Lap - but have been too lazy to do any further investigation.

P.S. Got 15" steel wheels ($50 each) and Nokian Hakka's($161 each) from Auto Imports on woodward in case anyone is still looking for winter tires. $1211 (tax included) for the goods & balance/install.

Default Speedstyle?

I been dealing with speedstyle for a bit. They did all the work on my previous DSM. They know about the WRX and RS, talk to Eric there. There located on Sheffield, off Walkley road, here's their website: www.speedstyle.com. Their prices are usually competitive.

FYI, ordered some brake fluid from Final Lap, took forever to get it...

I'll most likely buy a flywheel from Eric in the next month or so.

Good luck,

Matt

Im in Ottawa and have a WRX. Got it in late June. Seen quite a few other WRX owners around town, and have exchanged waves with just about all of them i think. Even played around a little on 417 with a couple of them (A young asian couple in a Red WRX near Woodroffe, and a a Black WRX near Nicholas) Havent been to any of the monthly Club meetings though as I often work nights on call. Im always amazed at how friendly the other WRX drivers are. I cant think of a single time where we havent made a concerted effort to get within waving distance if we see another one nearby.

Anyways, cheers.

WRxednEffect,
what do you consider heavily modded?? I try to take a planned approach to any mods I do... If you consider this major, I'll be replacing my clutch with that of an STi Type RA and a lightened flywheel. I'm also playing with the braking system.

One thing at the time, not too concerned with power yet... Let us know how you like your Vishnu Stage 0 thought!

Good luck!

Well I seem to be a lonely '02 OBS owner on this board. But don't worry I'm not jealous (...yet) of you WRX types ) I plan on some mods of my own. I heard that some OBS owner managed 132mph at 6000RPM with his '02 OBS... we'll have to see if I can make my way there too. It will come with time... and money

Cheers

Which dealer are you going to? Otto's or Ogilvie, or over to
Lachute like a lot of people here do? i usually goto Otto's since
it is the most convenient to get to, and they are "indifferent"
to the mods on my RS, other than a nice exhaust for the Brullen
header back. they don't appear to be too worried about it
though.
