If its such a good deal on your car, you should be able to make money it's sale? and you know what your doing mod wise just part it out. Either make more cash off the parts, or put them on you next car( prob wrx 5sp man.) I know that's what I'm doing someday haha

Dude. You ramble, learn to type so people can read it. And I seem all your other threads looking for WRX/STI parts. Sell whatever you have on the car for money and stock parts, and since you say you bought it for $11k I'm sure you can get at least that much for it when back to stock, then use the money you want to spend doing a tranny swap and whatever else to buy the WRX you want. I've seen '03 WRXs for sale for $4000, but something like that and then build it properly with whatever other money you have. It seems you don't have the proper knowledge to do what you plan on doing with your '09.

Your numerous "Looking for whatever WRX/STI parts will fit my plain Jane impreza" threads show you don't know what you want, or what you're doing.

My brain hurts thinking of all the things you would need to swap out to make your car AS good as wrx/sti. After engine swap tranny swap, everything suspension and braking is done, your interior still sucks. And that's coming from someone with 08 premium with tons of extras. I can live with my impreza but wouldn't think twice about getting a new car over doing all the BS work.

I think krzy should invest all of his money into education, specifically English.

You can buy the OEM guards. Not nearly as useful as the RAs, but are molded and blend in with the bumper.

Their are factory molded mudflaps (Splashguards) from the factory. I got them on my '11 premium. Let me find a picture: Look on this thread http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-exter...stalled-5.html

You can install the RA flaps along with the factory mud guards. That's what I did and I think it looks good. It kind of blends in the flap with the body a little. It's a little bit of a pain up front, but quite do-able.

Also you can install the flaps so they don't stick out from the body as much as even I have them, so they are more subtle..

Yeah those do look good. My flaps are also the closest setting in for a more sleek look.

Do you just have a Wrx exhaust? I don't remember.

Nope I just bought those $30 each tips from subaru. I do need a little louder exhaust just to hear or feel the engine over my stereo to know when to shift. It actually sounds good, but too quiet. That's probably my next upgrade but I have to be able to pass inspection and not get pulled over in NYS. It's walking a fine line, I can't just slap on some crazy loud system on there, nor would I want to especially without UL headers which opens up a hole different ball of wax..

About those flaps.. on the highway my MPG has gone down quite a bit after installing them, and it went down quite a bit after installing wider tires too.. so about 2 to 3 mpg loss. I can hear them on the highway going 80 mph too.. I still like them and they really protect the side of the car a lot.. totally worth it.

Same here unfortunately
However the combination of better grip/handling and looks overcomes a slight loss of mpgs
Have you ever thought of having a exhaust shop making you a custom one?
$550 later I got the sizing, muffler, and the resonator of my choice lol. Definitely louder than stock but the muffler/resonator combo eliminates all raspyness and I can still get UEL headers since it retains the factory catback flange

I removed that air duct thing that goes from the hood to the airbox. I now have a deeper sounding engine note.

And now you're also sucking in more hot air...

I drove a standard for work for several years, I will always gladly have an Auto over manual on any car I own.

The only thing I don't like about the 4eat is that there's only 4 gears. My wife's Camry has a 6-speed auto, it's awesome

I was thinking about just getting slightly louder mufflers actually.. but in reality I'll probably just leave it stock until it rusts away, then upgrade.

Put it back on.. You have only succeeded in turning the factory cold air intake into a botched hot air intake.
