Default 05+ Legacy GT Transmission Swap

ok guys, school me on the new Legacy GT transmission.

things i know:
push style
no internal speed sensor parts

so, what can be done to solve this speed sensor problem?
the transmission has nothing inside it for the regular type speed sensor.

my only real idea concerning the transmission is to add the internal system from another tranny (cracking them open)

anyone know anything about this?
we can use this thread for info on these trannies and swapping/using them, so post up.

This has all been discussed in detail in the trans forum. You should research it there. You can use the speed internals from other transmissions. The parts are listed in one of the threads discussing this.

well parden my hi-jack then to keep it in the conversions section...

What would it take to be placed in a 98 lgt? I have 4.11 final drive? I'm not sure where to go about info on the trans itself really...

it would take the internal speedo gear from your tranny now, and the axle stubs

I was fearing this thread would get locked cause it was a trans question not so much a conversion....

I also talked it over and found out a few things...

You can drop and play the trans in an older lgt...the dual mass flywheel is something like $800 from subie. It's basically what is claimed to really help the trans and make driving a heavier lgt on it less harsh when it is modded. The gears are not nessicarily strong then in a newer wrx trans the big benefit is the 4.11 final drive.
