Default Window tinting Leeberbs vs The Tint Shop

Anyone have any experiences with either these two places with window tinting?

How are their prices?

What kind of tints do they carry?

The Tint Shop on Route 1

Leeberbs is in Hillsborough

Both are located in New Jersey.

I don't know those places, but I've always tinted my own cars.. the trick is to buy pre-cut tint, which runs about $40..

You don't know them because you just joined up here.
Lee has been doing tints and clear-bras for Tri-Staters for 10+ years and does excellent work. You can't go wrong with him.

Window tinting, like putting a dark sticker on your windows to make your windows darker.

Heard good things about Lee stuff lasting forever.

I don't want to do my own and have bubbles a year later.

Got my tint done by Lee. Good job but if I were to retint, I have to say the tint shop does crazy work. Every car I've seen done by the tint shop has the tint going close to the edge. Want to say less than 1mm. Lee's was good but the tint shop was cut a bit better. But Lee's customer service is amazing. Had a couple scratches on couple windows from installation which he replaced no questions.

With these observations, I've had friends loyal to the tint shop get their tint done by some other guy for $100 whole car with basically same quality as the tint shop and Lee which charges $250. As Lee does have a loyal following, I'd say the following is justified by his quality. But with all these other tint shops popping up with better deals its hard to justify paying over $125

this be me, i had 2 cars done by the tint shop, one was my old STi, work is awesome the cut it so close and lifetime warranty, had a few windows redone and they didn't even ask questions, just brought it in and it was fixed.

also heard nothing but great things about lee from friends, and his work looks top notch too... both seem almost identical in price and workmanship...so in the end its whatever is more convenient for you because both do amazing work.

however after paying close to 300$ to get my sti tinted and then the same for my old lexus SUV and i went with a recommendation of a friend to go elsewhere, got the same quality film and work for a fraction of the cost. i just can't justify that kind of money for my brz which really has only 3 windows...which are tiny.

so honestly if you chose lee, or tint shop in edison both are reputable and you'll be happy either way but being that lee i part of this community why not go to lee?

Lee has been a Subie owner and a grassroots guy on the forums and Subie community for over 11 years. His work is top notch and his customer service is above and beyond the norm.

Depending on where you are located I vote Boom Boom in fort lee

http://newyork.citysearch.com/profil...m_boom_ii.html

I have owned two wrx's now, both done by them. My first car I had done immediately owned it for four years with no problems what so ever, no bubbles, no peeling nothing. Second car I have had these tints on for roughly two years now and same deal no issues what so ever looks great.

Customer service is fine if there are any issues they will make it right by you, and as for price you CANNOT beat it!!!! My first wrx I paid 100 dollars for my rear tint. This one I had to have tint ripped off and did the whole car, front and rear, and I only paid like 200 dollars. You can negotiate with them on the price I didn't pay full price for either jobs. I hear their prices have gone up a bit though so I don't know what they're at now a days. They also use pretty high quality tint I forget the brand name but I remember at the time looking it up and it seemed like it was what most places were using.

Only thing that I do not know is if they file the edges, I personally don't care a bout that I either have my windows all the way up or down so I never really pay any mind to it. For the price though I really don't think you can go wrong everyone of my friends who went else where paid twice the price for the same job.
