I would question them, what's the harm? Do you have a deposit down? Was your a custom build?

The cars taht do show up on the consumer website can be "reserved" by the dealer to get them removed if they were originally stock units.

At least for SoA this is how it works, not 100% on the east coast and their goofy Subaru of New England stuff

After years of worrying about personal finances, I took the plunge tonight and ordered a PBP STI hatch. It's a lot of money (at least to me), but after looking at the other quotes, I think I got an offer I couldn't refuse.

Do you mind me asking which dealer you bought it from? I'm looking for a decent dealer in the Wash. DC metro area.

Archie from Fitzgerald Gaithersburg. From what I saw in the Nasioc dealer reviews section, they didn't have the most glowing reviews, but those posts are also a few years old.

From what I can tell they're a volume dealer, and they were the closest to me. Gave them a shot, and the price was right.

To save you some time, from what I've read on this site the area dealers with the best reputations seem to be Beyer, Annapolis, and Dulles. I believe there's a gentleman who works sales for Beyer that frequents Nasioc, though the best advice (that I actually didn't follow) is to shop around. Good luck man. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Thanks for the advice, man. Much appreciated. Yeah, I plan on shopping around a bit and see which dealer gives me the best price. Lucky you to have found what you wanted at a good price!

Like which one is best to go to for the best options? or better volume of WRXs on lot? <------ asking this because I will probably have to buy the 2013 WRX off the lot and i'm hoping to either find a SWP or PBP.

I looked up dick hannah subaru and it looks like they have a lot of reviews on google. Anyone had any experience with them?
Never bought a subaru from them. But have bought other cars from them and everything worked out for the best. Their prices are super competitive and they will match just about anything anyone else is offering. I'm going to be ordering my car through them here pretty soon. Dick Hanna is a huge dealership so they can afford to sell cars cheaper.

When you put your deposit and order your car, they give you a Vehicle Order Number, along w/ the ETA. Not sure when the VIN is sent out.

Hey guys, stopped at my dealer today to pick up some touch up paint and get a free oil change for my 2012. Got board and was walking around the lot and saw the first 2013 they got in stock. As you've probably heard absolutely nothing has changed from the 2012's. Dealer said MSRP just went up 200 bucks tho. Here's the window sticker and front end, if you guys are interested.

Well I put in a request for a WRB 5 Door on July 12. Both dealers called today and both have my order in. Guess I am just lucky. Now to beat around for a better price.

Thanks for the pictures. It looks sooo new and nice!

On another note, I noticed that one of the more interesting options on the 2013's is the vortex generator. I've yet to see one in person.

I asked to see a picture of a vortex generator, but none were available. Apparently it is somewhat similar to the vortex generator on the EVO. Not so sure about the look on a subaru? I'm too lazy to Google image...

Stole this from chanomatik

IMO, I think it would look better if the antenna wasn't there. Just my 2 cents.

Here's a picture of it from the 2012 accessories brochure
