WTF is going on with the gas prices all of a sudden.
Yesterday i paid 4.96/gallon premium at a Chevron near my house in SF.
$75 to fill the tank in a WRX is ridiculous!

edit: i swear it was just 4.49 just over a week ago

I'm pretty sure gas prices have sucked since around 2003. I didn't know Obama was in office back then.

Obama has nothing to Do with it as gas pricel arent regulated by government like the price of electricity.

California gas costs a lot because the state wants to burn "clearer" fuels than other states, so we have a special blend than other states.... Also our state gov puts retarded tax per gallon on gas in California.

Reason why its also expensive is because season is changing so companies are changing gas from summer blend to winter. Once the mixture is in full production prices should be the same as before.

I believe Michigan has a similar problem too, I'm hearing our governor put some ridiculous tax on gas which makes me pay like $4.30/gallon, sometimes even more. I hate premium but I also love it.

Yea, EPA taking money from us in most inconvenient possible...

What's funny though is non formulated 93octane burns cleaner than "clean formulated" 89 gas....

I payed 3.94 a gallon at a Chevron last time I got gas. This is the only gas station on my 25 mile journey to work from my house so it is often times the one I stop at.

Car: 2005 WRX
Octane: 91 (Premium in AZ)
$/gallon: $3.94
$1.20

Exactly. Gas went up almost $.50 this past week. From my understanding Exxon Mobil shut down a refinery and a couple pipelines or something after an accident. Of course people raise prices as gas becomes more scarce.
